Some people will think it's an insult to him but it's not, it just is what it is and the reason I respect him and can say he's a great player but he gets on my last good nerve.
It isn't an insult (people are of course allowed to like or dislike any player they want) but it also isn't calling it as it is, it's merely how you personally perceive him.
I could just as easily claim Nadal is even more cocky in his mid-match celebrations (heck in one of the recent Djokodal slam finals, after winning a set Nadal literally celebrated like he won the title, not to mention doing pelvic thrusts in like 2nd game of the match against Jo a few years bacK) and that letting out an injury story (whether immediately after the match or later) for nearly ever slam loss he had in the last 6-7 years can be considered a form of arrogance (sort of an indirect slap to opponent's face).
Of course if I claimed that, I'd receive the usual H2H response (the default one for any sort criticism directed at Nadal, regardless if it's about his game, personality or achievements) but that's besides the point, you may see Nadal's celebrations as passion and Novak's as being cocky, but for some other person it might very well be the other way around.
