NEW Prestige MP 360

Currently Roger uses what is very similar in layup with retail RF97. Sofia may have a retail PD but that is not verified. Otherwise the tour is flooded with pro only sticks like h22 p25 pt57 and so on.

Is it true that only the top pros (top 100 - 200) will get the pro sticks?

Well I know ppl are getting low RA PD or aero from the factories and they play a few times a month. It all depends on who you know.

What tension you going with? I'm not discounting it yet, there is clearly mixed feedback already

Will never get why so many of you insist on communicating in a manner where your subjective opinion on a subjective matter should be taken as objective

No disrespect honestly, but it comes across as a bit arrogant, alot of elitist mentality in this forum, and yours is only on the very small side, so not pointing you out that hard - like if you just come in and say "this is my experience...i don't like it" , that's more than fair

But the particular pattern happening in this thread, is that those doing this are the ones who have something bad to say, whether they tried it...or not (which is even more baffling)

Especially when one fella here, refuses to try it, but compares his feedback to a former Pro, yet plays casually himself, wtf?? lmao

All credit to you for giving it a real shot though and your feedback, that part is appreciated

Why are you posting here if you understand the forum's mentality and elitism ? Do you want your voice heard? are you so happy with your prestige you want to share it so badly? That person you are talking about has tested 100's if not 1000's of frames, like many of us here (the reason we are here) and we, who have been here long enough know who's reviews, voices, e.t.c to listen to.
For reference, I have tested at various tensions ranging from 55lbs to low as 43lbs, I have even allowed the grommets and string beds to settle in. If it works for you, then great.

It's pretty simple really, the exact same thing can be done without being a tart about it, again not pointing at you. There are also people who come to these threads because they want info and reference for a newly released frame, TW reviews aren't completed yet, so this is what they have to go by, and when people are trashing racquets without testing, that causes confusion and possibly misinformation. My final thoughts are still reserved, I've just posted my initial impressions. Am I coming here and saying, this is the best racquet ever, you're stupid if you don't buy it? no, I have posted initial impressions and leave the rest up to the other person - that's the difference. The rest of the questioning is for my own curiosity

Ok so you understand there are different people, different styles on expression, different views, different experiences, or maybe none at all, different factors, diverse testing groups, variety of dynamics..... take all that into consideration when posting or publically having a go at experienced posters. This is a forum new user, one needs to use their emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills well, and not be offended.

Lol no sir, I'm not talking about being offended, when I'm saying "being a tart", it's to do with a) going off topic, b) spreading negative feedback without personally testing. I have basically repeated that numerous occasions. I've already mentioned I got no problems with people play testing and having unfavourable feedback

If you're not interested in just talking about racquet and interested only in user reviews why don't you start new thread with title like "only first hand experience from people with no experience"? You don't have to came here with your "subjective impressions" and cry about others being subjective.

Are we really trying to call someone out because they pointed out that people are being negative and bashing a racket because others have played with it?

Firstly it's the fact that someone's new, their opinion is somehow discredited because they haven't typed enough on the internet. Then if it's not that it's because they dare to like something that "experienced posters" think is garbage.

If people went into the PT57, H22 threads etc. and started bashing the rackets constantly without having played with them, they'd be labelled a troll. How is this any different.

There's nothing wrong with sharing opinions, but if your opinion is just what someone else thinks and you're just going to keep reiterating that, then you're just a parrot or a sheep, doesn't matter if you have 5 posts or 5000.

My racquet dealer said he's been selling the MP really well after not even stocking the previous model. It also looked better in person than I thought from the early pics in this thread. Genuinely liked the look of it, but the price tag was a phenomenal $380AUD.

Interesting to hear the general consensus that it's super underpowered. That was my impression of the ultra tour at first, but that ended up being my main frame after a bit of customization. Anyone able to directly compare the ultra tour with the MP for me?

Quite contrary. It's not because someone pointed something out but because argued for idea "don't write it cause I don't like it" (whatever the it is). It's free speach community and if somebody would like to write something I don't like or think it's stupid I can just not read it. It's especially not polite to being new member with nothing more than few lol's and bro's and telling others what they can or can't.

Free speech is great and all that, but it isn't a license just to spout your rhetoric.

Noone here has said "don't write it because it disagrees with me", all that was pointed out is there are people here that are literally bashing a poster's experience with the racket when they haven't played with it, and aren't going to play with it because another poster says it's bad; as if that's the be all and end all of every experience ever required.

There's a strict difference between:

"I'm not going to try this racket because my views are usually aligned with XYZ poster, and since they don't like it, i'm not likely to either."

and

"You must be such an amazing player because XYZ posters didn't like it, and since they're likely to be better than you, you must be wrong."

The latter is just needlessly confrontational and sure, you can argue all you want about emotional intelligence and sucking it up because "we're on the internet", but there's also nothing wrong when pointing out that someone's being needlessly rude and dismissive.

Again, to be clear, disagreeing with a poster's opinion is fine, especially if you have experience of your own that you're referencing; but if you're just going to take someone else's opinion as gospel, then just try not to be a dick about it.

Maybe lol-bro attitude isn't the best way to find friends... "They that sow the wind shall reap the whirlwind.".

I've played with Graphene 360+ Prestige MP today. I must admit that it wasn't bad at all. Maybe touch/feel is better on IG Prestige MP (both worse than Microgel Prestige MP, not to mention PT57A), but the new one is more comfortable from IG MP. I din't find it underpowered at all – honestly both with my hitting-partner (he used to play with Liquidmetal and Ti Radicals, right now Blade v7 16x19) we agreed that it has more power than Blades v7 16x19 (new Prestige MP seems stiffer from Blade despite RA numbers). However the sound of the frame still has this graphene ping of early Graphene Prestiges – which is a bit annoying. I have used to it using Graphene Prestige S, but I don't like it. Both Blade v7 and Yonex VCore Pro 97HD do sound better,.

I think this frame would gather much better feedback if this would be new Radical line – as it lost its Prestige heritage somehow. Precision and the feedback from the frame isn't simply as good as it used to be the within Prestige line.

Also the frame doesn't look that bad with new paint-job. Of course I would prefer the glossy edition and PT57 mold – or 231 mold as the new one for Prestige line if it needs to compete with Blades ;)

So what you're saying is that if new poster chimes in... with an lol in direct response to your posts, that new member is considered not polite, because he's not a 'Legendary' poster? What if that new member is say Federer or Joker with an LOL.. would you still think he's not polite?

Ok, so third re-string in, this time with Head Lynx at 42/40. Huh, it seems this frame is very string sensitive. Had the same experience with the Gravity Pro, didn't like it with anything other than the strings it came with which was Head Lynx. Don't know what it is, but the newer Head frames pair really well with Lynx. I actually do like the string overall, but find it doesn't have the best snap-back for a poly.

Hitting with the MP today with Head Lynx and it actually felt nice. Good pocketing, power and spin were available when I setup right. It actually has a place and to me it sits somewhere between a Blade v7 and a Pure Strike 18x20 in terms of feel in a package with the traditional prestige weight and balance. Not as muted/flexy as the Blade, not as stiff/raw as the Strike. If you feel you want a more head light Blade or Strike but can't seem to find the right specs this is something to look into. The MP cuts through the air nicely which is beneficial to those accustomed to a more headlight balance.

Other comments stating that the new MP is like a Gravity Pro that is easier to swing through the contact zone and more control orientated are a pretty good description of what this frame is. It does have a smaller sweet-spot than the Gravity Pro so this is for the player that is looking for modern lower powered precision frame. I found it hard to get accustomed to the larger head-size of the Gravity Pro also, so I might lean toward the Prestige MP personally for my game between the two. Overall I think the Gravity Pro offers more if you don't mind the head size/shape.

The frame requires a fair bit of work it seems to get the right string setup and fair bit of work to use effectively, so yeah this frame will not be in the wheelhouse of a lot of players preferences. It actually does have some redeeming qualities if your are willing to persist with tinkering. In this respect, it is probably similar to the Ultra Tour 97. I found the Ultra Tour to be a lot work, there was something there but I could never get the right specs or string setup to be completely happy with it. With the Prestige MP I don't think it requires any weight or customization (at least the one that I have. QC disclaimer: your experience may vary), just need to find the right string and tension.

Will continue tinkering with it and see how things progress.

To be honest... I blame it on Babolat with their elbow killing, power, and light racquets. It made the game of 'MODERN' tennis matches boring to watch. I don't know about everyone else... I only watch the finals of the major tournaments because all the matches in between sucks. All these baseline 'PRO' players hitting, 25-30 hit rally mashing topspin doesn't appeal to me. Really no technique involved it's athletes running back and forth on the baseline and ball mashing.

It's not that Head is not listening.. they actually are if you think about it, they're chasing the Babolats stiff power arm killing racquet 'trend'. It's only a trend until it goes the back the other direction. You're starting to see that happen now even with Babalot releasing softer molds like the VS line, Wilson with their Clash. What makes everyone think Head just somehow forgot how to reproduce another more modern feeling PT57 or PT67 in the future. Head is just following I'm hoping a dying trend of powerful racquet and if the modern tennis game doesn't follow suit it's going to be very boring watching 30-40 ball rallies every game that last over 4 hours.
If you want a head racket that feels like the soft players stick then use the gravity. It’s not that hard. Zverev literally switched to a gravity.

If anyone wants a modernized prostick its literally the gravity.

I bit the bullet and bought a Prestige Pro... whilst injured .

Haven't actually played with it yet, so this is my opinion on the very accurate testing which involves bouncing a ball on the racket ... (note to self, I should have strapped my wrist before doing this ).

Initial feel was not what I was expecting when the Prestige Pro was described as still a fairly stiff (considering its 65 RA) and modern-ish feeling racket.

Definitely does not feel anything like my G360 Radical Pro, which I would describe as solid, muted and... for all intents and purposes "dead" (that's not a knock, I actually really like this feeling).

The Prestige Pro definitely feels (and sounds) more like a "traditional" frame in comparison, I would put it similar to my IG Radical Pro, although the sound off the string bed is a little less "ping-y" (even with a rubber band dampner); I think my iPrestige Mid actually has a little bit more muted/"dead" feeling in comparison.

Obviously it's nowhere near a perfect test, and I'll maybe update again once I've had a hit with it, but so far it doesn't encapsulate the feeling I was hoping it to have when compared to my G360 Radicals, maybe a little bit of lead and the leather grip i'll be installing on it will help.

I’m playing with the 360 prestige pro for 2 weeks and must say that it plays better then the previous 3 versions. it has a static weight strung with overgrip of 336 with a sw of 330. The previous versions had the same static weight but lower sw. This one plays great with full poly without a dampener. You really feel where you get the ball on your stringbed unlike the previous versions which I could never play without a dampener. Because of that feel I know I have to hit the ball high in the stringbed to be able to take full cuts with high swingspeed and ultimate precision. When hitting lower the ball will fly on you. So it’s not a racquet for old school players with classic strokes and a continental grip. This one is great for the modern game of attacking from the baseline.

Tried the new PMP, and I’ve gotta say, it feels very good on initial impressions. It swings fast through the air and doesn’t have the negative Graphene feel that I can tell. It’s certainly different from the 95” heads (I haven’t decided if I prefer the new shape or not). I think I like the thinner beam though. Nice hitting frame. I’ll try some more in match play.

The only problem is that I tried the new Prince 93p 14x18 as well and it was head and shoulders better.

Could you compare the two in more detail?

-the head.MP grap.360 is nice!! 4.0s and up will enjoy this racket
-very fast and maneuverable through the air
-the graphene 360 really did help this racquet, just as I was hoping for
-its stable enough for good high level strong hitting, but it can be customized a bit for more stability if one needed it
-the grip was nice, nothing crazy weird, square or rectangular, just right/normal 2me
-slices where pretty easy due to the thin beam
-volleys were good, fast racquet allows for quick reaction
-no big hot spots when hitting off center, no funny vibrations either
-IMO this graph 360 head MP is a good turn of events for this line
-I still wanna try the pro/tour versions, but signs are pointing to good things

Yes. Thank you.
I don't have a very good comparison at this time because once I picked up the 93p, I never put it down. I hit with the Prestige briefly and there's nothing wrong with it, it felt plush crisp and flexy, with some plow through and was pretty solid all the way around, but I just liked the 93p a lot better.

The 93p was faster through the air, more stable on hard hits, felt lighter, and was very easy to play with. Here's some numbers:

I prefer the previous head shape and beam width on the Prestige. The 93p was good enough for me to seriously consider switching from my PD. I was able to hit harder, was almost never late, and volleys, touch shots, returns, and serves felt very good. I played 4 sets of 4.5 doubles (no shoulder pain while serving) and two 1.5 hour hitting sessions, and a 1.5 hr fast-paced doubles clinic with the 93p.

I played 1/2 set with the Prestige and about a 45 min hitting session with it. I have personal preferences that draw me to the 93p, plus I enjoyed playing wit it more than the prestige.

I tested other day Head Mp and Yonex Hd and I liked more Head Mp,nice feel nice sweet spot, sweet sweet racquet only I don’t like that Short handle Not enough space for second hand. And I don’t understand people who’s writing about low power Racquet's
Being a single hander the length of the grip isn't an issue for me. I've been using this racquet for several weeks and am loving it. A real gem that isn't getting the notice it deserves.

I have a 2 handed backhand and the handle is the same as it was when I was playing with my very first head elite pro 600 in 1988. It shares the same rectangular grip shape. The speed pro I was playing prior to the prestige mp360+ has a longer handle but I think because of the squarish shape most fitting for that shape handle. The traditional head shape grip is best left alone as it plays perfect with the weight and balance of the prestige .

Fairly sure the new 360+ Prestiges come with the Speed TK82S pallets installed by default.

My Pro did at least, swapped them back to traditional TK82 pallets myself though.

I see it as the prestige line moved a little bit towards gravity line. A bit more control vs forgiveness. I wonder how it compares to H19. as it is a bigger headsize as well... I like the gravity pro, i also like the prestige mp but not sure if enough to buy it. There are some really nice options right now on the market. Blades v7, Dunlop CX tour 18x20 , pretty much all Angells, Yonex vcore HD 18x20 , gravity pro, prestige 360 mp....

They are not the tk82s speed grips by default . I own the speed pro and my son owns the speed lite while I did a grip size change down to 4 1/8 . I demo the new speed 360+ and gravity pro at the time of demo prestige mp 360. They all share the more square like grip except for the prestige mp 360 which have the more flat rectangle grip . I ordered 2 new prestige mp 360, strung to my own string and tension from the demo and master stringer at shop. I love the traditional more flat and rectangular grip shape . It’s ideal for my 2 hander and semi western forehand which I used on my 1st head elite pro 600 from 1988 .

The other head racket using the speed grips are the radical 360, coming from a flat rectangle shape before .

I also have the tk82s on my prestige pro. Maybe it does have the tk82 on the mp but that would seem strange to me.
