Prince Official - Racquets

Just a heads up to the Aussie contingent, I contacted Tennis Only about these and they said there are currently no orders in their system for the new Tours, so it will be a while if indeed they are getting them. They didn't provide any info beyond that.

So hopefully we may see them in July if that is when the wider, non-US release happens?

Not what I wanted to hear on Princemas!

Hi,
Looking for the original Prince Precision 97 Tour 660 from back in the 90's. Trying to track the heavier model down.
Specs/pics would be good to see exactly what it looks like.

Using currently the RF97 Autograph, play with depth, pace, flat & traditional, love a heavy weighted frame.

Any help appreciated.

James.

They generally make it here but just need a bit more time. No gift pack deal for us I guess. I want to demo the 100p as I quite liked the 2015 version but was seduced by the power of the textreme warrior I was demoing with at the time. Was disappointed with the higher RA in 2019 version but happy to see a return to 2015 specs.

Couldn't help myself. Ordered a single 310. I have freaking five of the last gen. Will string the same, and report back if needed. Good job Prince. This launch was well done imo.
Would love to get your thoughts compared to the 2019 frames as I just switched to them recently. It was literally love at first hit with the 100p.

I just ordered the 98 as well. May be a good replacement for my Melbournes. Specs line up nicely in a lighter package. I don't like to buy without a demo, but I am going to jump right in here and keep my fingers crossed.

Should have more pwr than a Blade or even a TF40 or Elevate. Prolly similar to sth like Solinco Wout or this ‘22 EZ98, so a bit less than your O3 Beast. Racket looks good & I wanna try it; high launch is concerning but I can’t imagine it being super high w/ the density of its string pattern. I hope TT does a playtest
Yea I kind of feel the same. I might try it with a 16g poly, in my experience it might make the launch angle more predictable

I find very little difference between de tour 290 and the phantom 290x. Line by line almost identical, except RA.

The specifications of the updated Tour line look great! I may playtest the 100 sq. inch with the 16x18 string pattern in the standard weight. I'm thrilled that they are more flexible!

In case you guys can't wait. Should be weight-based only shipping.

Also Prince released a short promo of the Tours featuring the new 100p.

My guess is she will stay with the RF97. The plow through and mass is a day and night difference compared to the weight of the tour 98.

"...really love this racquet...as I get older, this has been helping me out. It's so stable, I didn't notice any lack of weight or maneuverability at all from this one. I have a ton to say about this racquet-"

Is what she said in that review. Now it looks like I'll have to order one when they become available here. The only thing wanting on my TT 100 is I would rather it feel a bit more like a 98.

Please tell me there will be an O3 version, even at least in Europe.

I really hope they are not discontinued.
I hope so too, I bought one fr EU to ship here with the last gen. If there is a 03 version for the 98 it will be a definite buy for me

let us know about the QC when u get the 2 sticks spec wise, with the textreme line it been a hit or miss for me

Will do, I have the Briffidi, scale, and balancing board. I intend on speccing them to the highest SW of both for the sake of consistency between both frames.

O3 is limited in the new ranges sadly, but thankfully we have the Ripstick to compensate for this!
There's the Phantom 100 O3 as well. If you want pure power Ripstick is the route, if you want a very fast swinging racquet which is very manoeuvrable, the Phantom is the one.
the funny part is that the Ripstick hits a flatter trajectory than the Phantom...

I can't wait to see how comparable theTour 98 is to the DR98+, I've been looking to find a replacement for it eventually.

Demos available to order. Not shipping yet - but get in line.

Nice. Are others able to add more than 1 to your order? I can add 1 from the product page, but then when I try to add a second (I'd like to side-by-side the 98 and the 100-310), the new Tours are not in the list to choose from. If I go back and choose from the product page, it just replaces the first one I added before.

Yes, if I do it by editing the URL to add the racquets. Click this link.

@c-had,

Yes, you should be able to. There looks to be a little glitch in the system and we are working on getting that fixed ASAP. You can use the link jonestim provided or you can call in to set up an order in the mean time.

Thanks,
Brittany, TW
