This should be fun! I hope they both bring their A game. Fireworks and forehands.

Bring it on!

Shapo will expose the Rublev false dawn tomorrow. This is not some jinx against shapo.

Ive been saying since roland garros rublev has flattered to deceive and later i think shapo will tear him apart.

Shapo does everything bigger here now in 2020 and with rublevs cumbersome movement i can see him getting creamed in straight sets.;)

Rubylev is grooved on returning lefties this week...winning over 53% second serve points by Humbert and Norrie. OP pointed out Shapo won only 28% of second ball points in the Stanimal QF.

Leaning towards the home court advantage to help Rubles across the finish line in 3 high quality sets.

Coming up on another deciding set. Looks like Shap gonna lose since he's won a distance match against a seeded opponent when?

Shapovalov’s false dawn exposed again
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Luke Shapovalov The Foolish? I thought not. It's not a story Sparlingo would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Luke Shapovalov was a Ballbasher of the ATP, so powerful yet so foolish he could use his groundstrokes to influence the midichlorians to create unforced errors… He had such a knowledge of unforced errors that he could even keep the shots he cared about from landing in. The knowledge of unforced errors is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing a match, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his opponent all his weaknesses, then his opponent defeated him in the third set. Ironic. He could save others from losing matches, but not himself.

This is one of your better gems, meeting the 4 C’s of cut, color, clarity and carat count.

Its a meme that I've merely popularized from the inimitable drlexus and Sock to Expose Nadal False Dawn thread. I did work extra hard to blend it in for this match. (Sadly drlexus was a returning banned user and quickly departed once his meme was popularized.) I was recently reminded of it with seperate posters rolling out false dawn in posts and flattered to deceive.;) Just saw a poster who I'm pretty sure does not post here using the term Diamond Gen over on MTF.

You must be a pig in mud these days. Sinner, Musetti, and Alcaraz all still teenage talent. With this covid break I feel a bit blind since simply looking at the rankings and filtering for age while only watching only ATP level matches just does not cut it whatsoever. I'm hatching evil schemes to intrude into your space with statistics. Sometimes Challenger mixed in with ATP level stats can give an early boost to numbers due to the lesserer competition, so that's stopped me from quoting early numbers on players. The covid break is particularly vexing for Sinner who I expected to have numbers on at the ATP level by this point. Since we just have too few data points until we get to the end of this year, it may be time for Melesian statistics to try to tackle the challenge. I'm curious to see what the players on the list youngest to win their first two challengers looked like in their early days. Gasquet leads the list, then Nadal, and it must then be Musetti since the broadcasters have been mentioning this. Recent Elo is starting to be bullievable and Sinner has checked in at 28, RUBLEV 6, SHAPO 15, and no rating on the two youngerer sadly.
