Honestly congrats to Geller and Rotsaert for the good runs and forms. Heard sadly that Vacherot hasn’t been feeling well (that’s from a friend of mine who that goes to A&M so I don’t know the validity of this claim). Sadly seems as though the rest of the Stanford team isn’t doing as well as the top two guys. Nostro what do you think of that? They sick/injured?

no no. rest of the team are playing GREAT. this is one of the strongest lineup #3 to #6. This tournament results really means very little. they will be playing other lower lineup guys from opposing teams in dual matches. Sridhar Rajesh, Kolansinski can all play #1 or #2 on almost any other team in NCAA

I'd argue Baylor has a better line up or even UNC. but oh well. how will Rotasaert do against Cuckierman? if he loses will it be because of fatigue from the Tirane or injury?

I agree, that tournament where Stanford played against USC/UCLA/Texas players gave me some hope. Let's see in almost two weeks when they play at the Farm in regular dual match against those two So Cal teams. I'll be there watching....

According to Fedace/Nostradamus the Stanford men's team is the most fragile, injury prone, unphysically fit team in the NCAA's. They are ALWAYS injured or tired, always. Playing 2 matches in a row is just too difficult for them. And this continues even after they leave Stanford.

You have to remember, there is big difference between a reason and an excuse.

I know i just want to see them admit it once that someone played better than a stanford player. Just once. It always amazed me seeing that this is "suppose to be" a multi ncaa champion team, yet they always get injured and tired when it's go time.

ok losing the first set and then winning the third 7-5 really isn't destroying the player. And I think youre getting ben draper mixed up with Jack Draper. Ben didn't play any challengers this summer. Jack Draper did. Rajesh is good but if hes going to three at line for Stanford then there is no way he will get to be top 20 atp. I just... It’s impossible for either of those players to golden set the other. What’s changed between the Sherwood cup and now where a (as my sources tell me) a healthy geller just got flat out beaten in straights by Cuki?

I mean Holt is def pro material. Geller would probably prefer that Holt not be at 1 though. Geller has never beaten him in dual matches and their last meeting in a dual match Holt won 6-1,6-2.

Trojans were not bounced. They actually dominated the Cardinals in many spots. I’m b4 nostra says they were injured and unhealthy.

USC absolutely cruised through Stanford 6-1 only losing 4 sets, wasn't even worth the trip up.

It wasn't that bad. In fact, while the score is what it is, and Stanford never looked like they had a chance, there were few positives:
Stanford had a shot for doubles point. the split #1 and #3. y#2 doubles was up 4:2, and I think 4:3 40:30 - but they lost 4 games in a row. And with that doubles point lost it was pretty much the end.
Axel was fairly even with Holt at #1 - until he unraveled at 5:6 40:30 (or was it even 40:15). lost that set, and the match was never close after that. Maybe a bit disappointing to not be able to at least stretch the match to three sets...
Alex was getting absolutely annihilated by Cukierman (but who isn't) in the first set - but he made it a match by winning second set. That was great to see.
Sridhar at #3 is going to be a player. Maybe not this year. Lost in two tiebreaks - but should have won that match over a higher ranked opponent. Stanford should not be worried about him, he develops very nicely.
Sah put up a good fight but he was simply not good enough to overcome #9 ranked player. Nothing else to say.
Rajesh was very impressive at #5. Delivered the only singles point.
Filip at #6 just could never find any rhythm. Stanford needs those points on lower courts, so that is a bit worrisome.

Realistically, had they won the doubles, I think they could have gotten points at #3 and #5, and who knows, maybe someone would deliver the 4th point. Not likely though. USC is just very, very good at all positions.

Stanford needs a win tomorrow (technically today) against UCLA to feel better about themselves.

There's hope for next year given the fact all players will return next season, and they will be, hopefully, a year better.

Axel redeemed himself by beating Keegan after he double faulted, twice, on match points on deciding doubles court where Stanford ended up losing. The match was called off at 4:2, with Rajesh leading 5:1 in the third (why he did not win earlier when he was up 6:1 5:1 I have no idea. Actually I do, he stopped taking the match seriously, along with his cheering teammates..... - perhaps it will be a good lesson _not to do that_ anymore).
And they moved up to #8 in the rankings released today, with 4 players in top 100. Not too bad.
USC is winning it all this year. Maybe not indoors - although they have a pretty good chance for that too - but outdoors they should take it all.
I'm tempted to go to Madison, WI to see the indoors championships......

when was the last time a Stanford team been healthy for a whole year? Every time they've lost you claimed them to be injured or sick. Thus making them the most unhealthy team by your own metric. I love some of your posts and I love having another fan of Stanford, but I can't tell if you're fanatical or a troll
