Well that was what I had in hand at that time.
I wanted to get rid of the Sensation to reduce the power and happened to have a half a set of each left, Razor Code and Tour Bite, that is. And it turned out well.

Hi @mad dog1 , I did hit with the TF40 but I am still withholding my verdict. I havent played it with my regular strings yet, and havent served or played volleys with it yet. I am going to string her up with Poly Tour Pro 1.20 yellow and see what I am up for.
That being sad: has anyone tried this frame with PTP 1.20 yellow?

The TF40 I bought 2nd hand was strung with a for me unknown, thick 1.25, poly that felt pretty bad. The swingweight of the racket with that poly was around 324. My poly of choice is mostly poly tour pro in yellow 1.20. I like round soft pocketing polys.
Took the racket to court yesterday and played with a 5.0 player that puts a lot of pace on the ball. We kept hitting for 45 minutes and I loved the feel of the TF40. Felt like I could shape the spin or hit very flat. No problem redirecting his pace, kept a lot of shots in court. The control seemed even better than with the blade 18x20. Played some points with a different player for about one hour after that. He is a 4.0 that puts a lot of balls back, but balls are just mediums to slow paced. Usually he doesnt make a lot of winners because I put him under too much pressure with my blade v7. This time was a lot different though! With the TF40 my balls came up a little short, and during points I felt like I couldnt pressure him enough. I lost More points than ever to him. After that I grabbed the blade v7 18x20 and sent him left and right, he just couldnt keep up anymore. The blade gave me more easy depth and pace, making me able to hit winners (which is what my game is based on).
I just restrung my TF40 with poly tour pro 1.20. It now has a strung swingweight of 316 measured on my head tuning center. That makes it 10 swingweightpoints less than my blade 18x20 with poly tour pro 1.20. That alone will make for a big difference. I will report back when I manage to squize in a hit the next couple of days.

I played with razor code mains and tour bite crosses in my TF40 305, 22/21kg. Initially, it felt a bit stiff, but once the string bed settled, I quite liked it. Spin and power were decent and it also gave a bit higher trajectory. I did have some issues with the stability of the frame. Have any of you experimented any lead in the frame? I probably end up adding up some lead in 3 and 9. Will report how it goes...

Are you using the white version of Razor Code, and which gauge?

Right. So you added 4 grams in total? For me, who's used to more heavy and head light racquets, TF40 is on the brink of being too evenly balanced, though I like the plow through it creates, so I haven't added any weight in the hoop. But instead I went with a leather grip to move the balance a tad towards the handle and to increase the overall weight. If I was to add some lead in the hoop, at noon or 9&3, I would have to come up with a way to add even more counter weight to the handle which isn't that easily done since there is no trap door and since the handle is already filled with foam. Btw, your nick name suggests that you might be a Finn, is that a correct guess?

Difficult, but not impossible. I have a head buttcap on mine and could fit 9g of putty in the cap.

Yes, even foam filled racquets will have a little space beneath the trap door.

Okay, I just removed the butt cap on my TF40 305 and added 5 grams of putty in there, and 3 grams at 9&3. I use a leather grip + over grip as well. So the overall weight is now 346 grams. I'll get try it in an hour or so.

Still loving my TF40s - 1.5g at 10/2 and 6g of lead used to flare the buttcap. Around 338/6hl/330 - stable, good power, no weaknesses really.
Still trying to find my perfect strings/tension, currently testing FB Black Knight and a couple of hybrids. Really rate BK, hoping it doesn't cause any arm problems...

I wanted to add leather grip to make the racquet a bit more stable at net but I'm afraid it would make the racquet lose too much control. Adding leather grip tends to increase power and the racquet without mod is pretty perfect except for a bit of stability issue.

I would have thought that the TF40 305 with a leather grip is kind of the TF40 315 without the leather grip. Just a thought. Plus, then you could add a bit of tungsten tape at 3 & 9 and increase the TW and improve stability.
Is it not possible get a few sticks from Tecnifibre to demo? I would have thought that would be logical thing to do for the manufacturer if they offer sponsorship contract.

The lighter leaves more room for customization. You can easily make it as heavy as the 315 but getting rid of weight is more cumbersome. The 305 really doesn't feel like it was that light due to its stability and balance.
My 305 weighs now around 340 grams strung.

You get the same great feeling with 315, but it is too head light with too low swing weight. You need to add lead, but then you quickly get to 345+ gram weight. 305 has better specs, so for modern game as for more classic one. I've just added 2 gr to 12 and overgrip and it is perfect.
What I like the most is the pop like Pure Aero, but still a lot of feeling and very friendly for your hands. I really don't know how they did it?
The new Blade is quite similar racket, but it is too muted, although it is also an excellent racket.

I have played with the TF 40 305 and currently use the Blade V7 98 16 x 19. I would say it has slightly less power with a lower launch angle due to the denser pattern. The TF frame is a bit firmer but has better stability. The TF 305 has a nice beefy swing weight. It was just a little too firm for my arm.

Loving my XTC 305's strung with Blue Multifeel mains and Revolve crosses. Nice combination of comfort and playability, if anyone is interested. I tend to enjoy full poly, but my arm doesn't always enjoy it after three hours on the court. This combo is a nice compromise.

strung with Max Power 17 @ 50lb

I don't have a SW machine but it feels around 335 which is just about right for me.
This frame is a special one; super stable, incredible control and just firm enough with enough pleasing feedback which stops short of being jarring or uncomfortable. Even for a 18x20, the stringbed seems very dense in the middle but I had no troubles getting nice spin off both sides.

I did a 1/4 inch extension on a TF40 315, which increased the swing weight to 330, I found more power (+ stability & plow) and I am thinking of adding another 1/4 inch.
The TF40 305 has an average swing weight of 326, a 1/4 inch adds about 10 SW points. I don't know what the longer butt cap adds in length, but I think it's best to find out first what swing weight you can handle a full match without compromising your swing speed, just by adding lead @ 12h (3 g
≈ 10 SW) at a racquet from which you know the swing weight.

I did not use a butt cap, I have send it to Ring & Roll Sports because I wanted to be sure it was solid and they can do it without an increase in weight. The latter was important for me to keep the stick maneuverable.

It worked so well that I bought a CX200+ a while ago and I find myself choosing for the latter most of the time, certainly when it matters (matches). It's not only the increased power potential but also the extra reach and plow I find beneficial to my game. I put my TF40 for sale, if I sell it before spring I will probably go for an extended 95" Dunlop CX200, if not, then I will add another 1/4 inch.

I'm a tad disappointed in the paint on my Technifibre TF40 305. It's only been strung once and I haven't hit it on anything but there are hairline cracks in the paint around the tip of the racquet. The racquet has grazed the ground a few times on digs but not that hard. It doesn't look like the graphite itself is having an issue, it just looks like a paint issue. It's not an issue I've had with any of my Yonex or Prince frames. Other than that, I've really loved the frame!
Tecnifibre has any butt cap weighting kit or option ?
How do people add weight near butt cap area?

Replace it with a head butt cap. Put TW tungsten putty inside.
