Yes, but 5-setter match between Fed and Simon in AO 2011 nevertheless.
I don't think Gasquet and Simon are easy match-ups for Federer, especially on this surface.
Gasquet is a easy match-up for almost all of the top guys. He is flashy but only plays well in patches.
Simon is not because he doesn't give you anything with his style, he is usually consistent, a sort of skinny ferrer.
Although we are not sure whether the world will still exist, who the president of the United States will be or who will win the World Tour finals of 2012:
I Can't Wait!
Seriously, this may seem early, but I genuinely can't wait for the happy slam. Anyone with me?
I bet Djoko will get Monfils, Tomic, Dolgo, Isner, Delpo, and Murray lol. With the luck he has with draws, wouldn't surprise me one bit.
Novak hasn't gotten a tough draw in quite a while. It will probably be Murray that gets that kind of draw (he always does).
But then the tough draw will conveniently dissolve for Andy by the second week, which it always seems to do.
2 for Tip but 0 for Tsong? Really?
Murray's draw always just evaporates no matter how tough it is, either that or his opponents melt in front of him.
Too early for Jo. He'll win the french, Wimbledon, US & the 2013 Olympic Gold though

He got a tough draw in the last 2 editions of AO.
What do you guys think? Will Davy be a force at the AO? I think That on hardcourt when hes on, hes really dangerous. Especially bein unseeded. It Will be interesting to see where he lands

At this point, not vs top players, no. He used to be in a best of 3. Never much in a best of 5 anyway.

Maybe not against rog or Andy or nole, but how About Ferrer, or berdych or tsonga? He could threaten them right?
That's untrue, often it took Federer to stop him. (on hardcourt alone: 2006,2007 USO SF and 2006, 2010 AO QF); he would've destroyed Nadal had they met there.
.
most important AO question
will Roddick be commentating?
need to know whether or not to avoid ESPN if so

I find it unlikely he will travel to Australia and get involved in the commentary so soon after he retired.More likely,if he is interested in doing some commentary, he will chose the Us Open.
Don't matter who Novak faces, he's the best.

With the draw ceremony coming closer it's time to take a look at the strongest unprotected, unseeded players. Who do you consider to be a dangerous floater? This is my list of first round opponents the top seeds will want to avoid!
Nalbandian - On a good day he's always a threat (not only to line judges!). He didn't play any warmup events though, has anyony got info on him?
Does he even lift?
Has he won the French Open?
Can he avoid bagels from old man Fed?
Can he fly like an eagle (the golden, victorious kind)?
Joke won't win this time.Book it.
Nice sig.
btw when is the draw announced?
I think the schedule is up on Thursday (8th Jan).
I think Murray will win it, although I would love to see Federer in the final or holding up the trophy.
I also want to see Gasquet do well (quarter finals at least) just so we have another one handed backhander up there. 17 people voted Nadal? Sadly, he's not playing guys... I hope he gets well with enough time ahead of the next slam.
8th Jan is Tuesday mate. Official site says draw is on Friday:

Novak Djokovic or Andy Murray.
Del Potro is the dark horse. IF he can even be called that considering he already won a HC slam..
In the third round, 1-4 draws 29-32 right or anyone from 25-32?
