Parking the bus works, just ask Roberto Mancini.
Feel bad for Barcelona, but I think Inter will finally take it; the final should be insane!
On a side note, I just found out that I, along with my family, will be taking a trip in July to jolly old England, and I'm just saying this now because I'm going to want to take in a match with you lot, and obviously we need to find out when and where! Also, I want to meet you guys and show you how us "Yanks" take care of business on the tennis court!
That's no football or soccer(as the Yanks call it) in July, at most pre-season matches.

Don't worry about it, the 8-a-side kickabouts in the park are probably of a higher standard than the MLS!
Mourinho's the luckiest **** in football, the number of crass decisions that went the way of that diving, playacting, talentless Porto team in 2004 and he's been living off it ever since.
Being a bit of a Barca fan (well, as re re non-Prem footie), plus one who isn't a lover of 'parking the bus' football, I'm disappointed... But considering the 1st match in Milan, as well as the OTT sending off that Inter had to contend with, you have to say Inter deserved to go through... though there was that Bojan goal?...
Q. So is Mourinho off to Real Madrid? Somewhere else like Liverpool?... I don't think he'll stick in Milan.
Diego didn't play for Porto that season.Talentless? Dude, that team was a hell of a team considering it was, save for 4 players, entirely Portuguese, and more than a few of those players played or still play for top teams (Deco, Diego, Nuno, Ferreira, Carvalho, Bosingwa, etc...). That wasn't a world-beating team, but it was a very, very solid XI.

Solid teams wouldn't rely on onside goals being ruled offside or play acting to get opposition players sent off in each knockout round. Mourinho loves to deal out the verbals but won't admit that most of his teams are built around cynicism. One fluke season and he now only goes where he has money to replace half the team.
Mourinho goes where the money is; true enough; but that's because he uses the money effectively (you must admit that getting both Eto'o and Sneijder was a masterstroke, and both have pain dividends). His teams might not play the most attractive football, but they certainly play the most efficient football. He goes where the money is because he wins, and teams feel compelled to give him funds because they know he'll always win something. He's won in England, Portugal, Italy and by the time he's through; he'll probably have won in Spain, France, Germany and maybe Turkey as well. And he hasn't left a team in bad hands after he leaves; Porto have been doing fine since he left and Chelsea's team, still has the backbone of the side he built, and they're doing just dandy. I feel Inter has a future after Mourinho leaves; he's given them a few new options and they're a diverse team and they'll keep on winning Serie A after he departs.
With that being said, I don't enjoy watching his teams all that often; they're a bit too rigid and tactical. I prefer open, free flowing teams. Mourinho's teams often remind me of American football teams - not much creativity and every single pass, movement and the like are all scripted, drawn-out plays. However, Sneijder has been a revelation this season, and this current Inter team looks like the most creative and entertaining team Mourinho has ever built.
LOOL ... !
I have to admit, seeing Mourinho running round with Valdes trying to wrestle him. Only then to have the Barcleona ground staff turn the sprinklers on the celebrating Inter players, it did bring a smile to my face.
Let's not forget this is the same Barcelona who this time last year were calling Chelsea sore losers after the debacle at Stamford Bridge. Barcelona were once again the 2nd best team in a Champions League semi final, this time they got what they deserved.
Barca >>> Chelsea.
Barcelona are a special club and one of the best in the world, Chelsea before Roman bought them were a similar size club to QPR and Fulham.
Chelsea were already in Cup finals and playing in Europe before Roman even stepped foot in London.
You must have been thinking of Arsenal before Wenger came to Highbury.

City vs. spuds
Match of the season to surely decide fourth. May the best team not in north London win.

I've got mixed feelings about that one. As a Chelsea fan, wanting Spurs to do well is never an option. On the other hand though, Man City getting into the Champions League could be the spring board to a league title within the next few years, which also doesn't sound too good.
If only we didn't give Liverpool a masterclass today, they could of knicked it
Hope you hammer them.
Liverpool were done a long time ago even if by some miracle they fluked a win yesterday. I hope what you say does happen but a lot of teams are getting stronger now and the established squads (United, Arsenal, Liverpool) are weakening. The current second tier clubs in City, Villa, Everton, Spuds are all improving and could cause problems as well so perhaps different teams in Champions League could become a regularity soon?

Not if City make it in this year, the players they will be able to attract will be too much for teams with average money to compete against. Spurs and Villa will be looking at the £10-15m type of players whilst City will be throwing money at Ribery, Villa, Torres etc...
Will Bridge be playing on Wednesday? It'll be interesting to see him refusing to shake Gudjohnsen's hand
Apparently City have had an offer accepted for a double swoop of Angel Di Maria and David Luiz from Benfica for some crazy fee like 75 million pounds or so.
Here we go again

It's a shame Mutu doesn't play in the EPL anymore as well.
There's no doubt Man Utd haven't really been good enough this year, just like Chelsea weren't the last 3 years, it's a shame he can't admit it.
