Fair enough. It may just be differences in cultures as well. I feel like if I tried to boo the likes of Tom Brady and the rest of the Pats when they played bad (Yes, I know Brady left), fans in close proximity would probably beat me up lol. But I hardly ever have been anywhere near athletes before, so don't really know how they get treated when they come back from defeats. I'm not sure if they are seen in close proximity like this either. It was a disgraceful performance by Barcelona. Were you not irritated when the opposing coach put Coutinho in? It was almost like they were shoving it in our face. Then he scored two goals .
I don't watch American football so I don't know how would the fans react there. :p

Context of defeat is important. A respectable scoreline against Bayern would have resulted in different reaction but maybe a humiliation was necessary for the guys to wake up, we'll see. Real Madrid fans are even more demanding. Even Cristiano was booed after going through a couple of games without a goal.

The opponents irritate me when they play dirty and get away with it. Not managing Coutinho well after spending a fortune on him was our mistake. So it just comes back to the same thing. Looking at ourselves.

I really hope you are right and they start playing better. I really enjoy watching the connection between Messi, Suarez, and Jordi Alba.

Looks like Koulibaly is on the verge of joining City. The upgrades keep coming.

Meanwhile at the other Manchester.

Koeman in at Barcelona. I know you've talked about him before @Tiki-Taka and how he would be one of your choices. Are you happy about this?

I'm not sure on koeman. Its not just the manager at barcelona that needed changing. So it'll be interesting to see what else changes.

I was happy to see Setien replace Valverde but we saw how that turned out.

For me the Wembley hero is welcome. Picking the manager is far from the only task Barcelona have now though, so we'll have to see our summer business as well...

According to my algorithms, all Lyon needs to do now is score 3 consecutive goals while holding Bayern Munich to 0 goals in the second half. I think it can happen.

Lewandowski only 2 behind Ronaldo now for most goals in a single champions league season.
Crazy, I thought no ones touching Ronaldos record.
Imagine if bayern got to play 2 legs in both of their matches, probably would've matched Ronaldo now

Second Franco-German final in the history of the Champions League.
The first one was in 1976 when Saint-Étienne lost to Bayern Munich 1-0 at Hampden Park, Glasgow.

Lewandowski's movement in the box for his goal was brilliant.

Time for Bayern to finish the demolition job against PSG.

I think PSG can hang. Maybe one of the only clubs in the world that can right now. Depends on which version of Di Maria shows up.

Mbappe and Neymar will be ready.

PSG's central midfield that started against Leipzig Marquinhos, Paredes and Herrera is not exactly convincing compared to Bayern's.

Yeah, I'm surprised PSG have made it that far with this midfield.
But in PSGs case, all they need is the midfield to stay strong and as a unit. All the creativity and goals will be created by the front 3. Same will apply against Bayern. Just hit them on the counter and hope neymar has his scoring boots on. When you're attack is that good, you dont need a star studded midfield. Bit like Liverpool really

looks like chelsea are linked with thiago silva. That's a signing I'd be well happy with. Free, although wages might be a bit high, tons of experience. And a proper leader at the back

Agreed but like KH said, the final third of PSG is more than able to punish Bayern. Lyon had numerous chances and I trust Neymar and Mbappé a lot more than Memphis.

Apparently he wants to come to England, willing to take a big pay cut etc.. He's 36 though.

To be fair i'd probably take him over John Stones and Lewis Dunk. What the hell are they thinking going after those two?

Seeing Liverpool and Bayern run riot against us the last few weeks of the season, i'm pretty sure that pair aren't going to strike fear into either side.

Ideally we'd go for Gimenez and see if Inter are open to an offer for old man Godin. The chance to play with his fellow Uruguayan and ex team mate might be tempting. They're both leaders, which is what's badly needed, they should rub off on the other centre backs too and that'll be a huge benefit long term. Zouma was actually a very good player next to Terry, for instance. Getting him a partner with similar qualities should hopefully improve his level again and improve the defence as a whole.

John Stones? Nahh.

Yeah I agree. I dont want stones or dunk.

Gimenez seems like a good player but I think he be expensive. We'll see if Chelsea are willing to pay.

Yeah thiago silva is aging, but he's still a starter and made it to champions league final. We'll see if bayern show his age because so far he's been alright. We could do with a leader to structure our defend because ita really all over the place

I don't think Gimenez would be too expensive, £60 Million is the figure i've heard. It would be a lot more, but he seems to be injured all the time. They're the kind of muscle tweaks that keep you out for longer than average periods, some people are more genetically prone to them I guess.

If Atletico could get £60 Million for a player who on average misses 50% of the games each season? I imagine they would take it.

But yeah, in general i'd be happy with a Thiago or Gimenez over converting Rice to a centre back, Stones, Dunk etc.. Ben White from Brighton looks good but he's very raw. I think he'd need someone solid and dependable next to him for the first few years, which we don't have at the moment.

Our two best midfielders are Verrati and Gueye both who are preparing for the final. Verrati is looking good to play and he’s our best.

Saint Etienne fans have never forgotten about the posts from that final , Saint Etienne hit the post twice during that final , But it wasn’t round , which takes away the possibility of a goal. They ended up losing that final 1-0.

The highest goalscoring french man in the history of our club , Rocheteau , was Saint Etienne striker during that final

Hows verrratis form these days. Haven't heard much about him in a while. A few seasons ago he was taking over every game he played. Linked to all sorts of clubs. And since haven't really heard much about him.
