Mourinho would weep every night if he had the City defence to work with. He should let Hughes handle that bunch of jokesters until the transfer window comes around.
Starting guys like Tai Ben-Haim and Zabaleta is horrible, Richards and Kompany can stay around but Ben-Haim and Zabaleta have been horrible as well as Dunne. Garrido is actually a decent backup and should stay during the transfer window but bringing in a top flight central defender as well as right wing back are a must.
More creativity in midfield or a decent holding midfielder..possibly both are necessary as well, I'd like to see someone like Diarra to help the defence out. Ireland has been great and only has upside as well as Wright-Phillips.
Robinho needs help up top, Jo apparently needs time to improve and Elano will almost certainly be gone soon. Hopefully Hughes as a good shopping spree ready for the Arabs.
Word has it that Inter will swoop in for Elano come January. They tried to do so in the summer but were refused. The bid was basically a name-your-price-and-we'll-pay-it but City turned them down.
Anyone heard any other transfer news? Who do you think will replace Schuster at Madrid? They lost yesterday and one more loss and I think he's out.
I'm telling ya! Juande Ramos
As for Man City's defence, Kompany and Richards are both very good like Breaker says... but the rest have to go.
Who to bring in? Thiago Silva from Fluminense should be pretty high on their list, he's probably the best defender in the Brazilian Serie A and out of contract. Inter looked like favourites to get him but he has also been in talks with Milan and he's interested in Chelsea with Scolari there. Man City seem to like stealing our transfer targets so that should give them extra incentive to go for him
Come on Glasgow Rangers!
yes Ross k i do. i like the Saints then the Cowboys...
Wrong football. We're talking about the sport that the rest of the world calls football, not the football that's often referred to as a watered down version of Rugby.
Sorry.
.........
Fena,
Although I've been a bit of a critic in the past, I totally agree about SWP being very good last night. To me he seemed lightning quick, incisive and tricky, dangerous with his shooting, great with his movement, etc. And I'm still taking stock of how Carrick and Agbonlahor played... the former so silky and commanding, and the latter so intelligent and all around effective... great stuff that bodes well for England in the future... and don't forget there are some excellent players who are still largely untried by Capello and who he might yet utilize (Micah Richards, Ashley Young, Joe Hart, Aaron Lennon, to name but some)...
...
game set match 46 TIMES!!
So you do know now we are all talking about the game you probably know as "soccer" and NOT American football, yeah?!... LMAO!...

Oh and btw!... don't you think the victory - with our reserve side (sorry, but in this case I do like to rub it in!) - was even more pleasing in light of Oliver Bierhof's typically arrogant and provocative pre-match comments?... Oh well, "unlucky" Oliver toss-pot!... never mind... and be sure to arrange another match in Berlin the next time you want our youth team to completely outclass your seasoned national 1st team in front of your own fans!...
Come on Glasgow Rangers!
oh, so you like the Celtics too?
o yeah sorry i was watching football when i posted that and i was thinking football. sorry i did mean i like the Glasgow Rangers...
Legend.
Enough Said...;-)
It was you who beat up Aiden McGeady wasn't it? :|
You animal!
premier league is for shims. all about serie a much more passionate play and the fans be way more violent.

That explains why there are so many more empty seats in Serie A games and you can barely hear the crowd even with Inter and the like.
Oh, and come on City Robinho was flawless yesterday but the defence was still suspect, we were lucky that Bednter is horrible and can't put a ball into the back of the net

Robinho's playing so well, i'm quite shocked!
So am I, he is really talented but I never thought he'd do well in England, I though he was to weak for your style of play. The problem is with Robinho you'll never know when he'll get tired of rain and start clubbing or travelling to Brazil too much.
Anyway, I wish we hadn't sell him, Real Madrid is a mess right now and part of the problem is we don't have anyone who can dribble (besides Robben who plays one match out of each four, as you Chelsea fans know)
i guess im not a member.. do you not like the Glasgow Rangers? damn i wanna join...
english football is better than italian right now, because all the english teams are now owned by outside billionares. man city got robinho because they got the paper to do so. no one would leave real madrid, which is the new york yankees of football, for man city. man u is owned by the glazers, people protested this, but nowadays i would say they are not complaining. meanwhile on the peninsula, all the teams are in debt except milan, who are stacked on paper, and they still want to buy more players and be like madrid 6 years ago. my team, as roma was about to be bought by george soros over the summer, but it didnt happen. if it had we could have got more than just julio baptista over the summer.
Mate, we need more bluenoses in here!
What's your story about liking the Gers then?!

I'm not a bluenose, but I like Rangers more at the moment (both Celtic and Rangers have American players) because they have more Americans. What do you think about the two Americans that Rangers have at the moment? I think Beasley is great but he's getting a bit up there in years and only has a few years left in him because of knee problems. Edu hasn't seen much time but remember he's only 20 (or 19, I forget) and has tons of talent, and I think he picked a great team to develop with.
well i just watched alot of soccer teams and i liked this one the most.i just love how they play. not really a story...
so does that mean im a member?
Quality mate! Yeah, The American players have really brought a load of new fans to the Old Firm (isn't Edu on the us cover of Fifa in a Gers top? ) Amazing advertising!
Em, I'm a great fan of Beasley. I think he's a great player and someone who Rangers really missed last season due to the Knee Injury he initialy sustained vs Stuttgart. He's proven that while he's maybe a tad too weak for the Scottish game weak-in-week-out. That he has definite quality (particularly in Europe) and is willing to really cause defences problems. He's got some serious pace and quick feet! Great to watch from the terraces when he's on.
I can't really comment too much on Edu since he's only had a little bit of match play. However, From what I've seen he's going to be a good signing. I trust the backroom staff, scouts and others who've recommended Edu and commented on his ability. It seems like he was brought in for a few reasons (and not just footballing ability imo) I think he's been brought in as a great talent who Rangers will try to develop into hopefully..an Ibrox Legend (That's the same reason I feel Aaron was brought in)
However, I also think he was bought in an attempt to further tap into the American Market. European teams bringing in Americans usually results in some great revenue brought in from overseas shirt sales. Especially when people find out more about (for example Rangers) and see some of the good players..(and some of the poor players or real characters-Thinking of Love Rat Shagg*r McGregor! )
Thanks for the kind words about the gers mate, I actually properly appreciate them
