This is interesting but hardly discussed. Andy is 1 time USopen finalist and 1 time champion. He had beaten Rafa in USopen 2008 semis but Rafa had also beaten him in USopen 2011 semis.

Who would win between post prime Rafa vs prime Murray?

Nadal in 5 sets probably. It could also be Murray in 5 too. Nadal wasn't' that good in 2019 but Murray always found it difficult to beat Nadal. Djokovic was easier to beat for pre surgery Murray. Djokovic, out of the big 3, benefitted the most from Murray's decline post hip/back surgery.

Murray beat a tired version of Nadal. After French Open, that epic Wimbledon final and Olympics, Nadal was completely spent, so it's not much of an achievement to win that match. Against a rested Nadal, Murray would have zero chance.

The tired thing is often overblown, especially when we are talking about athletes that are at their physical zenith, just like Nadal was back in 2008.

Murray beat Djokovic, the King of 5, in 5. Nadal beat Medvedev, the Pauper of 5, in 5. So it has to be Murray.

Coincidence: the winners both lost 2-set leads.

Nothing is more tiring than listening to the tired excuse which guys like you regularly trot out to try and justify their fav player's loss at the hands of someone they don't, for some reason, want to respect.

I think Medevedev is similar to Andy in some aspects.
A grinder, good first serve, great return of serve, not able to finish the points.

Andy has better conditioning in long matches but Medvedev played at high level in set 3 to 5 as well. So I am going Rafa in five. He is too good.

Sir Andy wins in 4-5 long sets.

It won't be easy but he will pull it off I am 100% sure.

If Murray can overcome Djokovic then an old Rafa won't be stopping him, Rafa of 2019 was one of the weakest champions at the meadows in a long time.
