Djokovic is clear favourite but who of the following would pose biggest challenge to his chances at the Us open. Discuss and vote
No idea but probably will be medium to slow court pace with high heat and humidity, should be high bouncing which should help likes of rafa, thiemDaniil Medvedev? Betting odd currently have him as #4. Novak, then Rafa and Roger are the top 3 -- way ahead of the rest of the pack. Any word on the speed of the USO courts this year?
USO organizers already planning for a super easy draw for RF. They'll give him Basilashvili for R16, and Zverev for QFs.No idea but probably will be medium to slow court pace with high heat and humidity, should be high bouncing which should help likes of rafa, thiem
That is impossible, federer will definitely have one of djokovic and nadal in his halfUSO organizers already planning for a super easy draw for RF. They'll give him Basilashvili for R16, and Zverev for QFs.
And if they could, they'd pair up Nadal and Djokovic in the same half semis. But even USO organizers can't cheat like that, as much as they'd like to.

That is what I'm saying, they would love to break that rule. That is impossible, federer will definitely have one of djokovic and nadal in his half
And yet he managed to lose to the likes of Robredo (just one year younger) and Millman.I would also be shocked if Fed doesn't have a cake draw.
Great chances for that infact kyrgios will draw a big seed for 3rd round, if its one of the big 3 especially djokovic it would be awesome.Аn early round (R2 or R3) clash with Kyrgios is one I’m sure Djoko would dread. My money would be on the entertainer if that happened.

USO organizers meticulously planning a draw - as we speak - in which Djokovic gets Medvedev in QFs and Kyrgios In early round.Аn early round (R2 or R3) clash with Kyrgios is one I’m sure Djoko would dread. My money would be on the entertainer if that happened.
I’m sure he would, lol!
0 - 2
They'll never get it. Will never happen. Because they want it so bad and because they rig draws more than any other slam, they are cursed and will never get this match. In this case I doubt it, they want a Fedal match at the USO more than anything.
Must suck raw ass they haven't got a single Fedal match while the other slams got tons of them. Expect Fedal to be in the same half.

You'd love to have Medvedev win or you support rigged draws?I’d love to see that! Kyrgios would clear the way for Medv.
If there really was a conspiracy to make it easier for Roger, why wouldn't they have made the courts faster this year? That certainly could have been done to give Roger an advantage and diminish the chances of Novak and Rafa.USO organizers already planning for a super easy draw for RF. As usual it's Federer and Nadal. Djokovic always raises his level in slams these days and his resilience becomes unpararelled. The issues he is having with Medvedev is worrying, but in bo5 Djokovic should solve him like in AO. Also Djokovic will ought to look for revenge cause losing 2 times in a row against the same guy pisses him off.
Fed and Nadal are the biggest threat to Djokovic, then Maybe Medvedev arrives into the picture.
You'd love to have Medvedev win or you support rigged draws?
Or both?
This is exactly what I think will happen.USO organizers meticulously planning a draw - as we speak - in which Djokovic gets Medvedev in QFs and Kyrgios In early round.
I think they will draw federer, nadal in one half with djokovic having thiem, kyrgios, Medvedev in his half. This is exactly what I think will happen.
Yeah, in a slam Djoko definitely the favorite. I'm sure he'd to prefer to avoid him though as it would likely be a physically draining match, especially in the heat.
I think Medvedev problem shouldn't be looked in that way as djokovic seriously has matchup problems with Medvedev and Medvedev on a whole is playing well against most players and is very consistent.Still djokovic will be favoured in best of 5 but Medvedev has the weapons that geniunely trouble djokovic.Bautista agut also troubles djokovic but overall its easier to handle his game when he is on fire than meddy.Almost identical to Bautista problems he had earlier in the year where he lost 2 matches being 1 set up. Looked to have major issues with his game but come Wimbledon he won pretty routinely and was never in danger. There is something about Djoko that lights up when the slam arrives.
Very true!
Is that who Kyrgios learned it fromDjokovic fears everyone not named Nadal or Federer.
He only loses to everyone else because he thinks they're too shlt to witness his best tennis
Pfft Djokovic has a lot to learn from Kyrgios. Needs to drink before a Wimbledon match and go on court playing with a hangover i.e Kyrgios v Nadal 2019Is that who Kyrgios learned it from
This is just something you made up and is not based on what the players and commentators said just this week in Cincy. Fed already said that Ljub was on Ashe last week and said the courts are slightly faster than last year with "not as much bounce." Gilbert said, "slow, but better than last year, balls sliding through without kick." The long-range weather forecast for the NYC area is also mild.No idea but probably will be medium to slow court pace with high heat and humidity, should be high bouncing which should help likes of rafa, thiem
Ofc...Djoko would relish that matchup.
Because they'd risk ruining tennis as a whole. That wouldn't be in anyone's interest to bring us back into the 90s when aces and service winners decided nearly every match. Not even if it meant making RF fans happy. If there really was a conspiracy to make it easier for Roger, why wouldn't they have made the courts faster this year? Who doesn't.I just want to see one of the younger guys break through.
Medvedev will beat Goffin, this much is certain, which will make him 5th seed. This is exactly what I think will happen.
There are a number of events that have been faster than the USO in recent years. It has not ruined tennis as you suggest. Not sure about this year, but Cincinatti courts are usually faster than the USO. Shanghai, Paris, London and a number of others are typically faster.Because they'd risk ruining tennis as a whole.
