Speaking of pulling out, three players I will be following, following their recent pull outs, are Jabeur (knee), Halep (neck?), Bencic (ankle). And Raducanu is also a big suspect.

Sloane meeting Qinwen Zheng in the first round. I was pretty impressed with Qinwen last time around the first time I saw her play, can Sloane survive this? And Kostyuk is playing Swan in the first round, could be competitive as well.

What I would like Petra Kvitová to reach the QF phase at Wimbledon, where she has not been present since her second triumph in 2014, 8 years ago !! It's sadly, how she didn't do well at her favorite grandslam in last years, I wish she could change that now.

I have nothing against Iga, but the honor of starting the program at the Center Court should belong to the champion from previous years, if a defending champion is not available. The organizers had a choice - Serena, Petra, Garbine, Simona or Angelique.
The runner-up from last year should do it.

Simona withdrew from Wimbledon 2021 she was defending champion , so the honor was given to Asn Barty , as the no 1 at the time.
Ash Barty , I think has suggested that this year the honor should be given back to Simona after her retirement, but Wimbledon had gone with the precedent of given it to the world no 1

Raducanu will lose in the first round, before she even gets an injury.

Unless she pulls out in the 2nd set, realizing she can't win.

Simona was seriously considered, but due to her w/o in Bad Homburg organizers were not sure if she'll play here. And since last year such honour was given to #1, this seemed like a logical choice.

Burrage v Tsurenko - match stopped in middle of a game because ball boy is unwell and sat on chair in the corner of court.

Burrage is busying herself helping and attending to the BB more than any other officials, ridiculous.

The rankings post tournament sure are something. Obviously no points on offer due to the ban on Russian and Belarussian players so we know what it'll sit at post tourny.

Kontaveit will go back to #2
Sakkari back to #3
Jabeur back down to #5
Collins a new career high #7
Raducanu will finally make her top 10 debut at #10
Gauff will go to a new high of #11
Leylah Fernandez will go to a new high #12
Kudermetova up 2 spots to a new high of #19
Teichmann will go up to #21

In terms of players dropping heaps of points:
Pliskova will drop out of the top 10 from #7 to #15
Kerber will drop 12 spots to #31.
Tomljanovic plummets 29 spots to #73
Golubic drops 41 spots to #99
Muchova drops 7 spots to #158 (rough)

What does it mean with all the headlines "Iga Swiatek to Open Centre Court on Tuesday"?

First of all she won't be the first player to play on Centre court since Djokovic is the first one playing on Monday. Second, she won't be the first WTA player to play on Centre Court since Raducanu will be the first one playing on Monday.

Will there be a "special" presentation before Swiatek match on Tuesday, thus the official "opening"?

I honestly don't think I can ever forgive Leylah Fernandez for letting Raducanu become a slam champion.

Emma is just awful to watch play, she is so god damn inconsistent. Nothing that enjoyable about her game.

You obviously didnt watch the US Open then where she won 10 matches without losing a set or even going to a tie break. I witnessed a level I have not seen before in the womens game.

Please. The calibre she played? The only top 15 player Emma faced was Bencic. Fernandez defeated Osaka, Kerber, Svitolina and Sabalenka in 4 consecutive marches. 3 top 10 players, 2 former champions, the #2, #3 and #5 players. Raducanu? Not one top 10 player. Absolute fluke draw and she's proven how it was a fluke since, she's achieved nothing since then. She is a footnote and a joke.

Looking like an absolute fluke performance based on what we've seen since then. Yes she played at a very high level there but hasn't come close to replicating it since
Way too many injuries, off court distractions, etc.

I watched her matches and her level was outstanding.

FLuke or not, Emma's level at that tournament was better than anything Leylah brought, regardless of opponent.

Just not true. Fernandez's level against the top players was absolutely better than anything Emma did.

Tell me, if Fernandez had Emma's draw and Emma had Fernandez's draw. Do you think that final result would be the same?

Let's not forget Raducanu STILL doesn't have a single top 10 win.

So since they resumed play, Osorio demolishing Mertens. Has actually won 4 games in a row (was 1-1 before the break), going for a 5th. Think they ended up moving courts or something, but dunno why.

A little surprising to me as even though I like Osorio, she doesn't play that well off clay.

Bencic was playing top 10/top 5 level.

We can have difference in opinion here, but I felt Leylah relied more on opponent's choking.

Yeah relied on Kanepi, Osaka, Kerber, Svitolina, Sabalenka all choking lmao. Yet Emma who again, not one top 10 player faced was the true good one. And how has she been since then? Gee she's looking good in this match against AVU. Broken to love, in the 1R. Great player!
