Hooray! So incredibly happy! I so did not want Stefanos to win! So happy for Borna! Just incredible!

Another Djokovic on the tour, just when I thought that vaccine mandates would make disappear the Orthodox one.
¡Que me mate alguien, porfa!

I wanted to say lovely speech but "up there with us" was a bit icky but maybe it's a language things.
But I enjoyed it. Choking. He knows.

Yes I believe Wimbledon did become the most boring slam. Novak is just too experienced and still too good for anyone. Unless something big happens but I don't see it.
Of course he had to beat Sinner ranked what at the time 11th. Why not just give it to him. At least Nadal had to beat four top ten players at the French.

"It's definitely not choking" whoa... Tsitsipas trying to give Anthony Joshua a run for his money for most cringe speech of the decade.

To say Borna is a next gen/gen-z flash in the pan isn't really the truth. This is a guy who was on the rise. Made his first USO/Slam Quarterfinal. Looked to really be on his way. Covid happened. Injury happened.
I will say this, though.. Borna's reputation has always been he's a superb athlete who would do well in any sport he chose (Courier said this, I think), but he has never really been a natural tennis player. He muscled the ball like no one else. More like a Genie Bouchard style of tennis.

But now..Borna's technique is starting to have more of a flow to it. The shots are looking more like actual, textbook tennis shots. At least this week they were.

Thank you for very interesting take. I haven't heard what Courier said either.
We'll see.. (I just googled how old he is!)

So a 36 years old Nadal who was just back from an injury gave Coric a better fight than a few next gen players, and that's at one of his worst tournaments.
Rafa's fans have it tough. The norm.
I wish everyone would bet on USO semis now. We're for a ride!

Devastated at the attitude or lack of fitness, whatever caused the utter collapse in the second set, if not earlier. I shall elaborate in a few days once i stop seething. I cancelled a date with a redhead for this, you're in my bad books Stef. A redhead!!!!

Notably, Coric took off 10 grams from his stick and apparently lowered his string tension...
Oh so a lighter racquet can actually make you serve faster, that must be a boomer for all those rec players playing with half a kilo racquets...

Borna was riding on a magic carpet in Cincy. Took out 5 top 20 players. But I think he'll run out of gas and have an early exit at the Open.

Imagine prime Federer/Nadal/Djokovic losing a Masters finals to Coric.

Or Wawrinka, Del Potro or Murray for that matter.

This generation is useless beyond useless.

There isn't going to be much reason to watch once Nadal/Djokovic get too broken down to play for sure. When a journeymen like Coric is mopping Cincinatti and the only player to give him trouble was Nadal injured ribs

FYI Coric has beaten everyone on your list but Djoke - usually multiple times. But let me try and break down your argument. If I understand correctly, anyone inferior to "prime Federer/Nadal/Djokovic" is "useless beyond useless"? In that case, you can probably stop following tennis, 'cause it'll be nothing but uselessness from here on out.
