I wonder how much of an affect on the dynamic of this match was affected by Roger having Berdych as a practice partner. He referred to him as a 'good friend' too, which is a curse from the start. Lawl.

It was the opposite with me. I expected him to swat away Solderling. And he ended up doing that. I wasn't nervous because I didn't see Solderling troubling him. And he started on fire. The first set must have taken less than a half hour or so.
With the aussie this year, Nadal winning would have been monumental in making his case and swinging the pendulum in the GOAT argument. I don't think I sat down the entire match. It was only when hawkeye showed that the final forehand was in that I finally took a breath. Some on here were too nervous to watch the match and so they only watched it on replay after reading the score and knowing that Federer won.
