There's a thread on whether he'll be No 1 early next year. With his consistency it seems possible as the Big 3 won't be able to play as many tournaments as him.

The thing is with such consistency he can become world No 1 with no slams to his name. Would his fans be happy then?

It could be like you were getting in the Women's game a few years back where the No 1s weren't winning the Slams. I do think it makes it hard for the public when the "No 1" doesn't seem to be winning the big tournaments, it's better when the public see the No 1 as being valid, if that makes sense.

How has Zverev won all 4 matches against Medvedev yet? I mean, this guy can lose to anyone on any day, so why never to Medvedev who surely was a dangerous opponent even before becoming the player of the last few months?

Medvedev improved leaps and bounds since last year's USO; all of their 4 matches occurred before that.

Zeverv is playing two notches down from his previous matches. Don’t know how much is Medvedev making him or he’s just fatigued after a long week
