Who is the highest rated player on these boards?

TonLars

Professional
Tony might win a round in futures qualifying. Maybe. He's a good player but futures is pretty intense.

Of the 3 futures ive been in ive made the second round twice and the third round once. Also a couple examples, in the videos Ive posted on my thread of them, in the singles final clip the player I beat is ranked about 1200 currently. Ive gone 3 sets with a player ranked in the 500's. So whatever a person's definition of the results is, 5.5 or 6.0 or whatever, I guess thats what I am but ability-wise Im right there with futures ranked players, and Im improving every year for the last 5 years. If I were to play more futures I am very confident I would get an atp rank, but open tournaments is the better option for expenses and earning checks. Am I the best player on the board I have no idea, probably not, but it doesnt really matter I guess. Theres many many players much better than I am around the world. I wish I grew up and lived somewhere else than Antarctica and id be better

Mark Keil is a former very successful ATP Touring Pro with 5 ATP Doubles Titles.

Obviously Clint Thompson is a pro level player, with success at the Challenger level. Take a look at his videos! Wow.

Tony is also an outstanding tennis player. His record speaks for itself. 6.0, period, with demonstrated 6.5 potential. Like he said, if he'd grown up in the South, or SoCal-watch out!

I understand Sup is also quite good. I think he is hitting with us tomorrow night.

And finally a nod for a senior player! ;) Geoff is a VERY, VERY good tennis player. ;) The guy was a practice partner for both McEnroe and Connors for Heaven's sake!

And...........just stumbled across a relative 'newbie' located in "The Desert Southwest" using the handle of 'Royer'. ;) I can also attest this guy has serious skills, if like Geoff and I, a bit more shall we say experience? ;) BHBH

I don't know if I'd be considered a "regular" poster, but, not to boast, I consider myself to be one of the better players on here. My dad played on tour, I started young. I'm ranked top 25 in the country, and have beaten 6.0s at my club. I'm only 14, though, so a lot of you guys may be better than me.

BHBH, if you include me you better not be too humble to not include yourself!

Case in point -
BHBH is a regular sparring partner for a top 10 D1 girls school.
Takes sets off of a former ACC men's champion (and not from 1928! Closer to circa 1981).
Also he can hold his own with members of the same D1 men's team.
Jolly, ToniLars and tomorrow Drak will attest to his skill level.

Thats really good. Hope you get an ATP point (or more).

From these boards I can say Granitechief and Onehandbh are very good.

I can vouch for both of you. Excellent players.

But my money is on Clint if I had to choose between you two :)

I just realised who BHBH is (doh!), didn't realise you could change handles.

The best video I've seen on here is TonLars for sure. Jolly is also very good but not at the same level from the videos. Videos are very hard to gauge from though, good to hear from people who have actually played each other.

Interesting to read the other posts here, didn't know either Kiel or Thompson were on here occasionally.

Thanks Jo11y! ;)

I'd put my money on Clint even if he was playing BOTH Geoff and I (no offense buddy!) In tennis age means a LOT. And of course Clint was truly world class skills.

From what I've seen the best players here are Clint and Tony. I am sure there are many, many others I've just not yet had the opportunity to see in action or meet.

Best,

BHBH

Yeah, kinda had to make the change and tried to do it quietly. Best, BHBH

Well, I could definitely vouch for what, Geoff is stating here. Bhbh, has an all-around solid game anyone would be envious of. To top it off he has a great tennis mind, and hits all his shots with purpose behind them. Now, if he will just stick to the 88, and pratice "sameness". :)

If anyone is ever in nashvegas, definitely try to work in a hit with him, samster and the rest of the nashvegas crew.

I see...

Would you happen to remember his username?

Sure, his name. No hiding, just post real short. His response to me and the speed it happened pretty much convinced me it was him. He pegged my sarcasm from what he said at the end of the interview which I figured not many tennis fans even saw. His response came a very short time after it aired and after I created the thread..

From what I recall, I think the editor of his book posted a few times or someone that worked on the book?? Can’t remember for sure.

Yes, I met them "both" in Nashville yesterday. Great guy, and one helluva game.

Who is the highest rated player who actually posts REGULARLY on these boards?

You must be dreaming if you think there's a player who posts on these boards, but if there is, then it must be Roger Federer, since there are more Roger Federer Threads here than all the threads for all the rest of the players combined!

True, and you are correct. In that case, then it would have to be between Tonlars, or Sup2dresq. Both are 5.5 level. I believe at one point, Tonlars was a 6.0.

And, I agree with you, hitting hard doesn't mean squat.

The check is in the mail Drakulie?!!!

Ha! I'm not at any good competitive level anymore. I probably have as much playing experience as the best player on the boards, but have been in the "if you can't do .. teach mode" lately.

Now if you get me mad on the court or put money on the table.. maybe a different story.

Otherwise.. I'm like Jolly.. a 3.5 but with a slightly better USTA record.

I also have no pro room, world class coaching, 110 mph forehand (won't forget that) or fascination with my equipment (tennis wise).

On that note. I may try to play a tournament next week and the following months. Maybe that love and feeling will come back.

There's that kid who plays for a D-1 school in the South. Can't remember his name... Tony Lars is one of the best here for sure, but I think there's a few guys who don't post that often who might be better.

Hyogen .. there I mentioned your name.

You still won win.. but I mentioned it. Now go out and buy 14 racquets of the same model and strike a pose!

The TT forum should hold a tournament somewhere to decide this. Then we'll see who's who. :)

We should have divisions based on titles.

We'd have new users face off, professionals, hall of famers, etc...Then Breakpoint playing against himself at a designated location to prove he is worthy of the "Guru" title.

Kal-el34 is my best bet. I have seen him play. Coaches, plays futures and i think challengers too. former #1 at his D1 college and an assistant with them as well for scouting new recruits.
Scoville jenkins?????? is that the real scoville jenkins.

Mtommer, no contest.

I heard that this guy is so good, he only takes points he "deserves" to win (and people still mistake him for a college player).

This guy is badass.
