Clearly form the photos its not the 95DI agree he is great to watch, I could be wrong as well. I just compare visual evidence. Someone like a pro stringer who has worked for him would have a much better idea.

Are you sure it wasn't Wawrinka you were talking to?From the photos no although why did he mention 95d to me it's an old frame very odd for him to say that and he said instantly without hesitation
He does use the 95 just not the 95D. He is using the Vcore SV 95Lol you can't mistake a guy with long blonde hair and wawarinka . He played today an exhibition against barankis ... not sure I spelt that right who was also using a yonex

A lot of people have no idea what they are using.Inner and outer fins visible in the first photo.
I think I heard he has a wildcard into Wimbledon, possibly due to being a junior champion.
I was pretty shocked to see that he's left the 6.1. I'm now tempted to try the SV95 though. Have you hit with it yet?Sadly, another 6.1 soldier has fallen
I'm surprised there is no lead at least at 3 & 9. The SV 95 is pretty light stock form.
Nah man I don't like Yonex frames at all really. I am going to give the new Burn 95 a swing thoughI was pretty shocked to see that he's left the 6.1. I'm now tempted to try the SV95 though. Have you hit with it yet?

but sponsorship moneyThe Yonex SV95 is a big departure from the Six One. It's like going from solid and flexible to brittle and toyish.
I'll be curious to hear your thoughtsNah man I don't like Yonex frames at all really. I am going to give the new Burn 95 a swing though
Anyone have word from stringers as to his former or current string & tension?
Here is a recent photo of Denis Shapovalov's racket and strings:
His tension was:
Mains - 51.0 LBS
Crosses - 51.0 LBS
His rackets were strung two-piece.
Hope this can be of help,

Which strings he uses, it's a prototype?

Is Shapo playing with a pro stock with different lay up than retail? Shapo says the racket has great feel but TW tester Michelle hated it and Andy thought it was brassy.

Yonex doesn't do pro stock custom layups. Customized to weight and balance with lead and silicone? Sure. But their pros play with either current models or old Yonex frames under paintjobs. If you look at a pic a few pages back you can see the aero fins on the frame, meaning it's most likely a SV95, if not definitely (not sure if the aero fins are new, don't tear me apart TT).
Feel is subjective. Denis may like a different feel than a couple of other players who use and prefer different racquets. Also, Denis is a brand ambassador--of course he's going to say he likes the feel of the racquet.
What string is that ?? looks like tourbite but it saids yonex ? does it have as much spin and power as tourbite ?Here is a recent photo of Denis Shapovalov's racket and strings:

Wrong on both accounts. Hewitts example where his mold wasn't anything released (it had characteristics of two different models but as a whole was never released) as well as Yonex saying they made multiple layups for him because he was very sensitive to how the racquet flexes prove this.Yonex doesn't do pro stock custom layups. The aero fins only show the mold is the SV 95, which I think we can all agree on. The lay up is a different story, Yonex do make pro stock lay ups. An example is Coric' Yonex rackets that were a lot more flexy than retail. Plus what Automatix said above.Yonex doesn't do pro stock custom layups. I agree. For me the ai98 and VCTG came to life when strung below 48lbs full poly. While the sv95 has a higher stifness ra rating... I think I will play test the sv 95 at one point, since I like the specs and the fact that it should be more manouvrable than vctg. Unfortunately @Power Player didnt like it, but since he went to the dark side our similar taste might be gone ; )The TW team reviewed the SV95 with Luxilon ALU Power strung at 50lbs. IMO, the LAST string I would put in this racquet is Luxilon ALU Power. Not surprised that the racquet would feel Brassy with that string in a full bed. (And I wonder if that is the reason why Andy preferred the SV98 over the SV95? They tested the SV98 with a different string IIRC Solinco Hyper-G.)
The SV95 is quite string sensitive. It works very well with Yonex Poly strings. It works very well with Volkl Cyclone both in full beds and hybrided with some more elastic polys. I imagine it would be pretty good with a NG / Poly hybrid as well but have never tried that.

Another example is the filling of Wawrinkas racquets - not silicone, some pretty dense foam not found in retail equivalents.
It depends what do you understand by filled with. If we believe the graphics Yonex provides quake shut gel should be placed in the space (normally there isn't any) between the tubes meeting in the handle. So while the 2 chambers in the racquet handle are empty we assume the gel is between the layers of graphite meeting in the middle - until someone saws through the handle in several places we don't have confirmation on this. So you either believe or not.My current Yonexes are filled with quake shut gel which is nice...
The ones that should be filled with foam throughout the frame are the ones sporting the solid feel core technology (e.g. Ultimum RD Ti 80) but no currently available Yonex frame features this tech. Yonex frames have some foam in the hoop though - verified.Do you mind me asking what retail frames were foam-filled?
I think one can feel safe that @vsbabolat gave his seal of approval for the SV95 since he has a rather high standard for racquet feel.Is Shapo playing with a pro stock with different lay up than retail? Shapo says the racket has great feel but TW tester Michelle hated it and Andy thought it was brassy.

Oh comeon,,, Which poly doesn't lose tension in 2 hours....they all do. if this is like Improved version of RPM blast then this has to be like the BEST string everI strung up my Phantom with this string a few months ago and the story behind it is Yonex made a bunch of RPM-like strings for Wawrinka and this was the most promising of the bunch.
Very similar in that at first it leaves black markings on the ball, the light is reflected by the strings like RPM and similarly stiff. The issue was that it lost tension within two hours.
Is their a big difference between the SV95 and the Duel 310g apart from a couple square inches? Weight and balance look very similar. I might have to demo these two racquets.
Yonex is the last company manufacturing their own racquets in-house. They have some paint job shenanigans but nothing like HEAD, Wilson, and Babolat.
