2013: Struggled with Youzhny, Haas
2014: Lost first set to Sousa, beat Falla 6 and 6 in the final
2015: Was 2 points away from losing 1R to Kohli
2016: I don't need to explain
2017: Lost to Haas first match (Stuttgart)
2018: Worst Halle of all time, barely beating Paire, Ebden and Kudla:-D

I wouldn't worry if I was a Fed fan, like I said, he either struggles in his first match on grass or the tournament but it doesn't mean much going into Wimbledon anyway

I assume he meant since 2017 which would make it more sensible. If it’s from 2017 onwards he has been shaky in Halle. If he didn’t then yeah it’s a dubious remark but I think he just miswrote it.

Either way it’s not as big a deal as you’re making it out to be.

Why would he mean from 2017 onward when Federer has only played twice from then on, not including this year? Additionally, why would he say, "this decade?"

He's trying to say that Federer somehow 3-peated in 13-15 without playing a good Halle.

idk why I'm dying at "no need to explain" for 2016. tbh last year i suppose he was fortunate enough to get to the final.

All true, but the second seed at Wimbledon is at stake this year and at 38, Fed needs every single advantage he can get. Halle's a big deal this year.

:-D:-D I remember being out and looking at live scores and he was a break down to Jaziri and I was like ''yep, end this year now, it's done''

I was wrong but I still see what he’s saying. I took it as more of a “he can struggle in Halle but still perform well at Wimbledon” type sentiment. Which is true as his last 2 Wimby titles didn’t he lose to Haas at Halle?

It’s just a tune up event. If anything @NBP is telling overly anxious fed fans to chill

Bro I remember in 2017 at Wimbledon when Fed fans were handwringing because he went to tiebreaks with M. Zverev and lost serve against Lajovic:-D I was telling them to calm down, everyone was going insane

I knew exactly what you were saying lol I don’t blame the new guy for not but the visceral reaction also made no sense.

I’m not worried about Federer in these events at all. I won’t worry until it’s Wimbledon.

And yeah the 2 seed would be nice but it’s not gonna make or break him winning Wimbledon. Good and clutch tennis will.

Halle’s grass looks like some gimmick surface for exho.

It’s not game called tennis, it’s game called "Serve".

It would make or break him winning Wimbledon if he has to play Nadal and Djokovic back to back. He can win it if he only has to play one of them, IMO. Sorry for not being more optimistic, but he's 38.

Doesn't Federer ever get tired of beating all these losers 38 years old and the guy wants to play till he's 50

As of now who is the 4th seed? I don't expect Rafa and Zed to make a SF.

Millman has some really positive body language, always pumping himself up and engaged. Zverev and Coric could learn from this.
