I guess she did win the YEC so that’s something but no slam SF isn’t great.

Can’t say I’m shocked by Naomi. I was just happy she didn’t lose back to back matches to Mladenovic. Her dumping Sascha was incredibly stupid and she’s going to take time to regain her momentum. She won’t be a massive threat at the French Open. She has some time to work her game out as she doesn’t really have points to defend til the USO now but yeah, she’s not at her best.

Too early to say. If there's a long-term downward trajectory, that's another business but right now she's just had two crappy tournaments.

Though I do wonder if she's really going to regret this come clay-time. She needs a steadying hand to start adjusting her game to that surface.

Amazingly, 3x slam champ and former #1 Angie Kerber has never won a Premier Mandatory or Premier 5 tournament. She’s had 4 runner ups at a Premier 5 tournament losing to Li Na, Kvitová, Halep and Pliskova. Has a decent shot in Indian Wells.

Too late to play this betting trend. Last year, same night, same court, Kerber waxed another up and comer, who I thought had a chance to win, Caroline Garcia, in about 45 minutes. Just like last year, I was looking forward to this match all day. Next year, I'll be ready.
