So every player left in the singles is facing the prospect of playing two singles matches except for Venus, Barty, Pliskova and Azarenka who are already through to the 3R. Except Barty and Azarenka are also playing doubles and are the only team yet to play their 1R. On top of that, if they win today they also have to play their 2R.
Barty and Azarenka are the only singles players left who are also still alive in the doubles too... Ug. Wish they’d just withdraw which would give them a good chance at the singles as their opponents will have to have played a match already.
