Seriously this is a F ing embarrassment to next generation I'm sorry. Pathetic.
Just pathetic. Ferrer should just keep working he could be in top 5 again with these young guys.
Diamond Age has become Cubic Zirconium Age once again, @Meles ! Nice avatar!Seriously this is a F ing embarrassment to next generation I'm sorry. Pathetic.
Court speed index for Miami is 34.4... pretty damn slow. The Tennis Channel had a graphic which showed the speed.
There can only be one explanation: clearly the Federer generation is the strongest ever. How tennis has changed. When I got into it in the 90's, no young-ish, self respecting player would lose to someone over 30. It was unheard of.
Well I got that rightFerrer with a great win over Querrey.
Next up gets the 2nd seed Zverev who he'll probably beat knowing how trash Sascha is
I’m sure he was struggling a bit adjusting to a first-time opponent on a new court for him. He played Krajinovic twice last year (2-0) so he should be more accustomed to his patterns. Their 1R match at Basel was a tight 3-setter; at IW it was a blowout.Just saw the highlights. Good on Fed for managing to fight through inspite of not playing well.
Maybe he needs to not play his best in the initial stages (but play well enough to win) and then raise his level in the later stages.
worked for him in Dubai..maybe peaked early in IW ?
He’s been reading srshs’ A.S.S. (Another Serve Secret).Anyone watch the Tsitsipas-McDonald match? I watched the highlights and I think I saw McDonald hit a serve from 2 feet behind the baseline.
btw I found out it was an overhead from behind the baseline, not a serve. the highlight was cut in the middle of the point so I got confused.Anyone watch the Tsitsipas-McDonald match? I watched the highlights and I think I saw McDonald hit a serve from 2 feet behind the baseline.
Ivan can only do so much. this guy just chokes chokes and chokes some more
Daveeed v Sasha next

Noticed in the 1st set he came over his BH a lot. Mixed it up more after that which really helped him I think. Was just reading that he admitted to not having a game plan for Albot. That's how he looked to me. He was feeling his way through the match, problem solving and figured it out in the end.Just saw the highlights. Last year it was in the 30s range. This year it’s closer to 35 and the tourney isn’t anywhere near finished so it could get faster. Quite fast for Miami standards. I think IW was faster this year and than last on the graphic too.Court speed index for Miami is 34.4... pretty damn slow. The Tennis Channel had a graphic which showed the speed.
