Alca’s kick serve is something else. It isn’t fully there yet but it has the makings of a true weapon.

Kec’s serve you’re right lacks pace, but compared to the AO he has really improved his placement. He was hitting 55% first serve back then, I think Nalbandian has reigned him in and told him to take a little off. Definitely think he can improve as well but yeah Alcaraz serve is a level above.
That Alcaraz kick serve on clay will be unplayable. Only Nadal might deal with it as he is left handed and perhaps Norrie.
Kec if he plays like he did last night will be with Alcaraz dominating the tour. I just wonder if he can keep that level up and improve. He is 5 years older than Alcaraz.
Alcaraz is just a certain double digit slam winner unless he goes the celebrity circus route. Guy has everything.

His kick serve was incredible, but Kecmanovic had a few more opportunities on return (30/106 vs 26/95). Both are great returners, but I would have expected the speed of the Alcaraz serve to give him a significant advantage of serve.

Oh in time no doubt. I just meant this year he may struggle on grass especially if he wins Roland Garros which right now I think is likely. He or Ruud I think for RG
yeah if he goes deep at RG its gonna be a real challenge to do well at wimbledon, this year he is still learning the tour after all

Captain Mimo catches a glimpse of sunlight through the clouds....only to find himself marooned on the Island of Alcaraz.

Funny, I always cheered for JCF when he played, and yet I was cheering for Nalby's protégé in this matchup.

Carlos is way more aggressive/go for broke than JCF ever was

Verdasco comes to mind
