Huh, Kalinskaya took a set off Rybakina. Won the first, lost the second. Into the third we go.

Edit: shocker, Kalinskaya wins the third set 6-2, Rybakina is out of the tournament!

Actually a pretty cool pic from that tweet.

If Sabalenka brings the same approach against Andreeva as she did today, she might actually get beat. She couldn't be bothered today, went out there with a Garcia type mindset and just lashed every other ball. It was only the serve that got her over the line really. Most actual rallies looked like being won by Osorio.

I only tuned in for the last 2 games and virtually the first thing I heard out the commentator's mouth was how all forehand confidence had gone.

Could be heading for a rankings drop after RG. I don't see her reaching the final again right now, or anywhere close.

Coco has been struggling all year in singles, not just on clay. PM in her box now, ugh. But hey whatever works to get her back on track.

Yeah, I don't think anyone expects her to have another RG finals run. Fourth round or QFs would be a good result at this point. And that's probably a stretch.

Speaking of the numbers 5 and 2, Andreeva is only 5/2 to beat Sabalenka. Just as much a reflection, I imagine, on Andreeva looking a very natural mover on clay, as it is Sabalenka looking the total opposite today. It will be a fascinating watch.

This first game between Pegula and Bouzkova... It just keeps going, but the quality is high. I'm just afraid Pegula will have her arm dropping off very soon if this continues.

EDIT: It's over, after 14 minutes and 5 break points saved.

There was a point in the JP v Bouzkova match, where JP hit a shot that won a game, way in. The line person called it out so Jess challenged it. As she was walking back to the sideline for the change over, MB conceded the point. I like that.

I just saw Kasatkina Tsurenko highlights and OMG Kasatkina has served an ACE with a really decent speed (around 170 km/h I believe). What happened? Did she finally hire a coach to improve her serve?

Anyone noticed the challenge in the 2nd game of Zheng-Alexandrova match? The graphics showed ball in the middle of the line, super slow-motion video capture next to it showed the ball being in air. And once super slo-mo continued playing, ball bounced clearly behind the line.
