Rublev was still a teenager then. Rublev has become a powerhouse type player while Murray is still a counterpuncher and older, slower tennis player.

Both players were always that. It's just that Rublev has become better with experience and physically stronger too whilst the reverse has become true for Murray since his hip replacement surgery.
