Just forget it: Tomorrow we will all expect Danill Medvedev to win but he will either play awful or Djokovic will be playing better than ever

Why the heck would Djokovic lose in AO.
He has played 8 finals there, won them all
In 2019 Shapovalov took a set of Djokovic, and Djokovic looked vulnerable, and do you remember what happended in that final?

There is a freaking reason Djokovic has won 18 slams, and Medvedev hadn't reached a QF in AO before this.

Djokovic will win, probably in 3 sets.

They met 7 times before, and Djokovic never had an easy win over Medvedev. Easiest one was a 6-4 6-4 win in Eastbourne 2017, and that was long before Medvedev's prime. It shouldn't be a blowout unless Medvedev a terrible match while Djokovic plays a great one. I don't think Medvedev will win this, but let's not act like he doesn't have the skills to win. Now, 2019 Nadal really never had a chance.

She whispered into djokers ear, "how is this for a possum act."
I'll rate them out of 10.

Djokovic's performance in the Wimb 2013 final 9.5/10
That woman's performance at the USO 2020 9/10
All other Djokovic's performances are probably 8/10

Therefore, she never really peaked higher than him.

Djokovic has improved his serve to the point that now it is one of the best. his net game, overhead and forehand have also improved over the years.

Basically, he has no weaknesses now. I think the next 3-4 years will be a window where he might get a calendar year grand slam or at least win a lot of grand slams.

What other top player has improved their game this much mid-career?

Federer improved his volleys and backhand but he was already pretty old.

The injury clearly happened after a slip, but it has proved less of a problem than first suspected ... that's all.

Improve? His attacking game has become non existent. Smash and volleys still average.

Just his defence hasn't declined as much as expected, great enough to floor NextGen mugs.
