Btw, that picture was taken about an hour ago. Unbelievable how fast it hit this thread. Try to guess what racquet I'm holding and who I'm stringing for so late at night.

Serena's Blade?

** EDIT ** didn't see your post above :) .... so still a correct guess but not well timed! :)

Drakulie, is that you having way too much fun stringing behind Roger?

So cool Drak perhaps you can challenge fed to a rally lol!

Yes. Lol. He was hanging out in the stringers trailer for about twenty minutes joking with everyone. Lot of fun.
Hey drak, that's really cool! Hanging out with Fed. :)

Did you tell him that you were the first to write a review and post a playtest video of his new racquet on this board? Did you ask him if ever reads the TW message board? I'm assuming he's at least heard of TTW since he must know that that's how Wilson found Peter Fig to design the paintjob for his racquet.

It would be amazing if he's a lurker here and regularly reads our posts! If so, I wonder what he thinks of our racquet advice for him? LOL ;)

After the disastrous Toronto final, I'd bet he sure wishes he did!

:roll: I'm pretty sure he has better advice and knows himself better then an armchair coach lol!

You may not have started the threads but your 90s recommendations is more then the rest combined... pointless post count anyone?

BP your one and only cure is sounding like a broken record and midophilia is not a recognized medical condition.

Wow, do you really think Drak would waste time in the company of one of the greatest sportsmen to ever exist, talking about the internet?

As a Prince and former Head user, Wilson frames have always felt a bit stiff to me including frames like the 6.1 95 and Blade 98 that I have hit. I hit the Prostaff before but always preferred the Prestige. I am currently hitting the Prince Tour 95 and while this frame looks intriguing the stiffness of 68 is pretty high. Specs look similar to the 6.1 and that one is not comfortable.

I've always had a similar experience, starting with the N Code line, the BLX 90 and 95, the 2012 PS90 was a step in the right direction in terms of feel IMO.

The K90 was my all time favourite, I'd like to buy 2 actually!

I hit with the response classic, and that one felt very comfortable with a similar stiffness rating as the RF97. Actually, I think this frame might be pretty similar to the new pro staffs, and with 325 grams it is somewhere in the middle between the two RFs 97!

Same here, as much as love how the OLD ps95 played, the only wilson frame that ever felt okish was the N90 and N95 series.

The K, 6.1 all felt stiff and gave me pains.

Wilson has been stiffer in the past but Head is rapidly catching up.

Have you hit with the YT Prestige? That one is stiff. It's nice that they dialed it back a little with the IG but I've heard that they've gone more stiff with the Graphene.

The Internet (this message board in particular) is what gave Federer's personal racquet its paintjob. :)

Federer is on Twitter, Facebook, his own website, etc. so of course he talks about the Internet.

He was obviously fatigued from the long tournament in Toronto. Tennis is more exhausting than posting on the Internet all day, you should realize

lol....classic. My tour buddy and I often share the 'pearls of wisdom' so often found here......

lol...thanks for the chuckle.

Then he must have also been fatigued in the Toronto final, having played every day for the 5 matches prior. For today's match, he got to rest the day before.

BP you're nowhere near Einstein, not by any stretch of the imagination lol! The weird kid in class I believe.

BP's logic mapped out:

Racquet, mid = 1, true
Racquet, MP = 0, false

Player, classic = 1, true
Player, modern = 1, true

Style, OHBH = 1, true
Style, 2HBH = 1, true

Basically any combination times MP = 0, false.

BP cannot accept even Fed winning with anything other then a Mid, even if Fed wins another major with the RF97 the same lame reply that he could have done better with a mid.. bla bla bla.

Mark my words it's an incurable compulsion lol!

I was just glad to be able to complete it, before leaving to string at Cincy with P1.
Does that mean the racquet is no longer in your possession? If by chance you still have it, I'm curious what the string-area length and width are.

I'd like the measurements just so I can see how they actually differ from Wilson's 95 offerings.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the frame. However, Putting it on top of an h22, it appears to be same head size minus the PWS.

Judging from how the op hit with the racket, it looks a lot flexier than the previous pro staffs? How does it compare to the blade 98?

Plays more solid than the blade.

Length is 32.4cm, Width (inside PWS) is 24.2cm << keep in mind this is measuring a strung racquet. Hope this helps.

Drak, you should have whipped out your phone and show Fed the TW threads about his frame, and how bad/good he plays. I am sure he would have a big laugh.

TW has committed to getting out a review by next week.

Awesome! I hope they review the PS 97 315g version as well next week -- they said they would be available for pre-order Aug 15, but that's this week. Maybe that date has been pushed back a week.

I will get a RF97 Autograph and a RF 97 tomorrow. It will be EXTREMELY tempting to use it in the weekends tournament. How in the h´ll shall i resist trying it out in a live match? :)

Even though I wouldn't risk it, but as your sig says "no guts, no glory". Let us know how they hit either way.

How, where, and why do you get these already!?
Can you send me both:)?

Let us know how they play tomorrow immediately, particularly the differences!

It has it´s advantages being a equipment-reporter for the Swedish tennismagazine ;)

I will not be able to hit them before saturday unfortunately. The courts where i play are fully occupied with a junior-tournament all week. That´s why i will be very tempted to use them in the tournament i play (at another location) this weekend :)
