Dad shoes have been in for awhile now! The silhouette follows close to other On shoes it's just the colour blocking that's throwing ppl off.

They look different to me. Cloudgo might be the closest to compare to... I hope they do well as it is nice to have more options.

its not the best casual walking shoes. its really not that comfortable and its mostly built for perfornance on the Tennis court and during matches,,, not in the bedroom

Prescription orthotics make any shoe a casual walking shoe. I used to prefer running shoes as everyday walking shoes before that.

What would make a better sheo on grass, turf, or omni? The clay sole or the... um, default sole?

Boring dad vibes.
That's a compliment, right? I thought the dad look was cool nowadays....
Dad look +/- bod seems to work for DiCaprio, but he's also got $300 mil.
Movie star status helps a little bit.

If I'm going full Dad mode, I'm getting these...

So the blue or orange bits are going to be green? "Sure Neil, no problem, we'll end the season with the 'Pachanga' - great idea." Yawn...

I'm baffled by the "dad" look comments. What does that even mean? It's a beautiful shoe...better than anything else out there right now aesthetically: Simple, clean, premium looking.

Anyone playing in these?

Wearing them for tennis is one thing. Wearing them in jeans or khakis for casual is another thing.

I’ve played in these since they came out in 2021. Really like the fit and performance. Just ordered the clay version.

How wide do you find them? My use of choice is the 9.5, which is definitely not a wide shoe. Do you think they would work for a narrow to medium foot (more on the narrow side)?

My favorite is the 9.5 also. I find the On to be a touch wider…at first I thought it would loosen up to be too wide, but it didn’t happen. It stayed at just about the right size. The shoe as a whole fits a touch less snug than the 9.5. But it’s very comfortable, and I enjoy playing in them. Now that the 9.5 is available again, I’ll stock up on that assuming the fit is exactly as before.

Thanks! Nice to hear that from a fellow 9.5 fan.

I have both the 9.5 and the new On's. Personally I found the On to be the best shoe by far. Substantially more comfortable and stable, while feeling light and better energy return. I'm only guessing here, but Roger is known to strap his feet and wear two socks. He also has wide feet. For people complaining about the width, I wore thin running socks with Thorlos on top + custom orthotics. The fit was absolutely perfect and snug.

Length wise it's true to size. Whatever you are in a Nike 9.5 or any of the former Vapors (excluding 11's), you will be the same with the On. Just double sock and you'll be sweet.

This thing is like buying a custom pro shoe at retail.

Only thing I didn't like is the clip that is supposed to go over the laces. I found it unnecessary and annoying.

How is the durability with the ON, especially the toe. Usually that's the first thing that wears out for me.. although the tread also looked super thin on the roger pros. Ordered a pair from TW, but returned because one shoe the upper was curved up so not sure if there was some defect. not taking a chance on a $200 shoe lol

I’m with you. Simple, classic design. Definitely cool rather than trying too hard. Understated. Comfortable & confident ‘in its own skin’…

That magnetic lace clip is certainly a manifest example of trying too hard.
If you say so. To each his own. But it hardly stands out. Visually the design hardly draws your eye there as a principal element. Doesn’t blare it’s presence from 20 feet away. Like the tiny Swiss flag…or on the Diadora Torneo & BIcon, the colors of the Italian flag on the rear of the shoe…I have no idea how the shoe plays, but it certainly seems …to me, perhaps to others…understated style…

I believe the shoe is heavily modelled of a traditional white tennis sneaker such as the original Rogers. So I do agree it's an understated, classic design which I quite like. Where it's let down is the colourways. I with they would do more like the Kith RF2 with the gum sole and off-white uppers. Those looked amazing.

Yep, quite agree. Maybe that’s in the offing. Overall, they seem reminiscent of the Adidas Stan Smiths and the Rod Lavers…pretty classic their own right…

I agree. I'd wear these on and off the court...if they weren't 200.

Agree the tread looks more substantial in the video; the orange is much brighter too - they still have all the sex appeal of a Swiss tug boat though, carbon fibre shank excluded as always.
(Frank Abagnale would no doubt wear them on court to help convince the 3.5s of his ivy league status - as well as wielding an RF97A.)

If anyone is interested, I bought some plastic primer and white acrylic paint with the intention of painting the orange strip at the back white. In my photoshops it looks a lot nicer and will hopefully allow the shoes to combine with more clothes since only the sole will be non-white.

As for people who don't like white shoes on clay: Getting dirty on the clay is what it's all about. Set aside outfits and shoes for clay and don't worry about how they look. The dusty colour they get is all part of the charm ;)

What's up with ON and shipping lead times? I ordered a pair of Roger pros on 3/6 still nothing and when I emailed them I just got ghosted.

I’ve experienced the same thing. Always get what I ordered but it seems to take a week longer than anywhere else I order from.

A week?
I placed my pair on TE in February, with the 2/20 shipping. It came and went. On 3/4, I saw them available on ON’s site, canceled my TE order and placed one on ON’s site and immediately received delivery date of 3/12. That came and went. Emailed them, they said it slipped to 3/16. That came and did not even ship. Called them, they said there is no exact shipping date. I canceled the order of the overpriced shoes and bought me 2x Lacoste LT21 Ultra pairs…

ON announced business results today, and they were very good. Sounds like their shipping and distribution needs to ramp up to match the demand.

I finally got a pair after two attempts to find my size! These feel a bit too wide, but i had the same feeling with my Lotto Raptor IV that i have liked a lot.

Ben Shells posted these on his instagram. Notice the shoes in the second pic... If that's a new version of the Roger Pros: I'm in for a pair!

The shoes on the second image remind me of the zoom vapor tour 6, which roger also loved and played for 3 seasons i think it was.

Looks promising, it hopefully gets released soon!

Shelton is wearing his new ON kit and what will hopefully be the new updated Roger Pro variant. He’s playing dubs with Tommy Paul as I write this.
