Stefanos: when are we going to start criticizing him more often?

I don’t see much analysis here on his under achievements. The guy made a GS final this year and has always seemed to under perform. I see medvedev catching more crap here than Stefanos when I’m reality medvedev was never projected to be anything special coming through juniors.

I think it’s time we say Stefanos has really been a huge disappointment. Can he rebound his career? Talent really isn’t an issue for him either.

Medvedev is criticized here because he can be a legitimate threat at big tournaments.

Tsitsipas is just a meme

To be fair, his slam final run this year wasn't that impressive. The only notable player he beat was Sinner and that was Sinner when he was still in his choking phase and before he got his first big-title. In general he's just not that good of a player and he does get his fair share of judgement but I don't think anyone really expects him to do great because his serve and BH are just not that good. He wins a lot of his matches by relying on his forehand only.

Medvedev gets more judgement because he's actually capable of winning big titles so when he goes out early, it does shock people because we expect more from him. he's actually going deep in tournaments. Hell he won a clay title this year and he's far from a clay-courter. There is difference there.

Criticize him for not being as good as you erroneously thought he was??
Being rated in the top 10 - he’s not consisted.
He seems to be getting worse. And while carrying 2 ATP 1000 titles and a coupleGS runner up trophies - he’s declined mentally.

Him changing to Mark P full time I thought would help him. It didn’t

Ahh. He's a kid finding himself. In a few years he's gonna kick himself for posting something so inane and cliche. I think Badosa has liberated him somehow. She must be kicking his ass betwixt the sheets

He just is a low ceiling high floor type player. Has enough weapons to get him to slam QFs or so but when he runs into the best - Djokovic, Alcaraz, Medvedev , Sinner - he just gets destroyed

Now. Enough is enough now.

Even ardent tsitsipas fans will say he is biggest loser now.

If not for an injury I think he would have been French Open champion in 2021.

This year however he got criticised plenty. The reason why that's quietened down I imagine is because we finally have someone like Alcaraz who can actually win the big titles so all our attention is focused on him.

We often remember the lyrics to a song but struggle to recall what we learned in school.
Loses R2 US Open to Stricker, a guy who almost lost in qualifiers to Lamas Ruiz 13-11 in the final set tiebreaker.

Cheeky of you to sneakily Sinner in that list against whom this mug is 5-2 and 2-0 in slams. But Sinner fans gotta Sinner. I understand.

About what? About him not being in the best physical condition due to the fact hea exhausted bc of Badosa? Or about him preventing us from some regular Badosa scheduling on account of Tsitsi not letting that back heal fully???

Medvedev = Crappy pusher not real player just makes ball in court

Tsitsipas = WAWOWOWOWOW ONE HANDED BACKHAND

Everybody loves the swanky one handers even tho it’s pretty obvious Stef isn’t that good. Those 3 guys at the top are miles, miles, miles ahead of him. And Alcaraz ain’t going anywhere.

So he’s the only one that I’ve seen outside of Novak that can probably take out Carlos in a slam.
However he still hasn’t figured out how to play medvedev before his legs give out.
Yes I agree with your take. If he doesn’t win this USO, I’m 100% sure he wins one next year

I should also note I don’t know if he can take Novak in 5 either.
Really last year he was a serve away of putting Carlos out in 4. That was such a tough loss for him.
I agree. I think the first final he gets through is probably Austrailia. His draw is too tough this year in NY. I just don’t know if he’ll make it through.
