I'll go with Rafa; Fed looks lost when he plays Rafa. I like them both but I can't imagine Fed winning. I hope they both make it in the final...

Rafa. A weeks worth of rest is the perfect amount. The clay courts at Roland Garros are more suiting to Nadal than the ones in Hamburg.

That's just not true. If you truly believe it's true, give me 3 reasons why, if suddenly offered 2 week's rest instead of one, that Rafa wouldn't have been overjoyed!

2 weels off and rust might be a factor. Playing with jitteriness sucks. Maybe a week and a half is the perfect amount but hard to schedule that exact amount.

C'mon, we're talking about Nadal here. This is a dude who has lost one clay match in the better part of 2-3 clay seasons! He takes weeks off, and months off between clay matches, and comes and wins 20-40 more in a row. You're claiming rust as a counter to rest for Nadal? No way. Rafter, Hewitt - both players that needed to play lots to play well. Nadal - he could play on clay at 4am on Christmas Day after a big night out without rustiness.

Maybe a week and a half is the perfect amount but hard to schedule that exact amount.

I maintain, 1 week is not the perfect amount for him in the state he was in. A few tough early matches and he won't last the FO distance, he just wont.

This is why Fed is the King of Clay, and has the longest winning streak on clay. He doesn't get tired and demand 7 days of rest. In addition, he doesn't care if the clay is "slow/fast/low bounce/high bounce, etc. >>> He just wins on the stuff >> no excuses.

Nadal 2 Roland Garros Championships Federer 0 Roland Garros Championships. Nadal is the king of clay because he wins when it counts. ;)

He didn't win last Sunday when it would have counted for 82 in a row.

Fed now has the longest winning streak on clay, and is the most current clay court champion >> that makes him the King of Clay.

PS: Real King of Clays don't get bageled in their backyard.

The French Open is when it counts. The last match was just preparation for it. Nadal knows what Federer is going to do now so he'll be ready.

Fed said he is more determined and confident than ever before to win RG this year. So,I vote for Feddy beating Nads in the final.

What is going on...more people voting Fed than Nadal, is it in light of the recent loss? I still vote Nikolay :D

Federer and Nadal appear to have an easy section to make it to the 1/4 finals. No surprises here.

However, the other 2 sections are wide open. This is where the more interesting match ups are taking place.

I really would like to see one of Gonzales knock Federer out or Djokovic knock Nadal out, but it probably won't happen.

Really difficult to choose between Nadal and Federer. I voted Federer, but give him less chance to win than Nadal. So maybe my vote was more out of hope than out of realism..

Preparation for it? This Nadal guys is a moron. He prepared for it by getting bageled? What a momo! LOL

I don't know how these people in the forum is thinking federer is going to win the french open. Do you not see Canas in Fed's half of the draw ?? Federer is not going to make into the Finals at all.

No, I don't see Canas on his side of the draw.

Canas is actually on Fed's side (Semifinals stage).

No he's not. :)

By the way, this is what Fed is going to do to Nadal. Notice Fed on the left and Nadal on the right.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Nadal retire in this French Open. 1 week to rest is not enough for him and he has to train for the RG too. Imagine Nadal retiring and Federer being unable to win it, that would be very ironic.

Unfortunately for Canas.. he will have to win 5 matches to get to the semis.. don't see him doing that.
