Yep, you can't pick your opponents. You can only beat them and he did that never facing a seed lower than him.
I doubt he will make another slam final. He was lucky that Berretini was injured and Tsitsipas lost early.

Honestly there's no need to sugarcoat it, Ruud had the draw from heaven and is not a proper finalist. Rafa and Alcaraz had artificially low rankings and the draw was unbalanced.
We already played the SFs on Tuesday and the final on Friday, and they were all good matches (obviously Nadal/Zverev only part of a match).
