Silver Threads and Golden Needles (Cannot Mend This Heart of Mine)--Linda Ronstadt

I don't want your lonely mansion, with a tear in every room...

Catch the Wind

drivin'n'cryin'

EDIT:
There's also a song by that title by Bob Dylan, who deserves more ink in this thread. I did not appreciate him until well after college.

I've got to insist that Catch the Wind was by Donovan and owed an awful lot to Dylan's excellent song Chimes of Freedom (Donovan used the same melody and sounded a lot like Bob at that early point in his career.)

I could (and have) go on and on with Dylan songs, like:

^ Elements of musique concrète can also be found on PF's Ummagumma, Dark Side of the Moon and elsewhere (such as Bike and Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast).

While not everyone's cup o' tea, this is one of my favorites from the PF lads. It's a rich mix of brass, choir, and musique concrète (listen to the Beatle's Revolution 9 for more of this latter style).
