The Graphene Prestige Pro is now a different mold than what the IG Prestige Pro was.
Really? The Prestige Pro has changed molds? So it's no long just a Prestige MidPlus with a 16x19?

Yes, its the now the same mold as the Prestige S
I wish these racquets were out already!!!
My shop just got the new Radical MP and Pro in today. Paintjobs are surprisingly so nice in person. Really glad its a matt finish instead of all glossy like the old radicals. Definitely will be needing a demo from me!

Finally, some1 who has actually hit with the PP. can you give me the specs?
Has anyone hit with the Prestige Pro yet (sorry, too many pages to read through to find the answer to that question)?
I have a test racquet that came strung with Hawk. The overall is pretty stiff/boardy, which I think can be helped with stringing (tension). I'd love to hear some tension suggestions.
What do you think about this Hawk string, any good?
Stiff. Boardy on the outside of the sweet spot.
From memory, 98sq in, 11.1 ounce unstrung, 1" HL.
Does anyone know if the specs are the same for the Prestige pro?
^^sounds like the prestige pro has turned into the prestige s^^^
Graphene and IG Prestige Pro specs are not the same. The Graphene Prestige Pro is 22mm thick, has a rectangular mid section (like current IG Prestige S), and slightly lighter (11.1 unstrung vs 11.5 unstrung for the IG Prestige Pro). Looking at the unstrung weight, the Graphene PP is 315g and the IG PP is 325g unstrung according to Head.
I'm looking forward to the new Graphene Prestige Pro because it's lighter and stiffer and because I mainly play doubles, so it will be more maneuverable at the net. I got a chance to hit with it and it was better in all aspects (backhand, volleys, serve) for me and forehand felt about the same. I can't wait till it comes out.
I'm talking about the new YT IG prestige pro, that's going to be the same right?
Thanks - even if it is bad news. Was hoping Head would get it out in Nov/Dec - but understand why they might want to space out their new product drops. My shop also heard they might be making some last minute grommet tweaks (not the color!).Tennis Warehouse confirmed a january 2014 release date for the graphene prestige
... Was hoping Head would get it out in Nov/Dec ...
I don't understand this.
Every other company tries to bring out new products before Christmas when people spend huge amounts of money, but tennis companies (Babolat is also releasing their new racquets in January) don't seem to get it.
January makes no sense at all. It's winter (at least in Europe and in parts of the US), the normal season is several months away. People generally spend a lot less money in Jan/Feb recovering from the holidays, especially on luxury items.
In other words, release in Oct/Nov makes sense so people can demo and buy before/for Christmas. The alternative would be March/April, right bofore/for the outdoor season.
Me neither. Christmas is king for spending. I guess you can get someone a gift certificate to be used when the new Head racket shows up in Jan. - just not the same as having a box under the tree.I don't understand this.
I'm sure that's the logic; would be interesting to see stats on the % sales in the warm regions of the country where tennis is 12 mo/yr....all the hype starts with the AO in January.
Thanks. I did want to know that it was a true 98 although there probably was no point in creating a new frame that was not. I wonder if a Head Classics line might be in the works?

I got to hit with the new Graphene Radical MP. So far I think it's stiff, boardy, with no feel.
For those wondering, the new Radical is now a true 98sq.in frame.
Hey vsbabolat, I see you posting in every Graphene radical related topic the same negative feedback about the racket.
By the frequency of posting your credibility drops aswell. The feel I get is that you sincerely don't like the frame but furthermore want to yell it as hard as you can around the topics. That is ok but you wanna spread it out of the whole name of HEAD by saying "head is really lost".
Don't worry that much about Head, just saying.
Thanks for the feedback. But I'll test the frame anyways even though I don't like boardy frames with no feel.
I noticed that too. He seems to have an agenda. Personally, I love the frame, but like always, you have to try it for yourself. The new Radicals are indeed stiffer than the past year's models, due to the Graphene in the throat and that is where stiffness is measured. But they are no way as stiff feeling as say a Pure Drive. The MP measured 64 and the Pro 68, which is exactly how they felt. Any racquet between 65-70 stiffness feels somewhat similar. If you are looking for an arm frinedly racquet, you should stay below 65 or better yet below 60. None of the TW playtesters commented on the racquets being "harsh" or "super stiff" and I think they would know

For the record I have no agenda. I gave my opinion on the racquet. I'm sorry you did not like what I have to say about the Graphene Radical MP. Oh and it feels stiffer than 64 RA.
How 1 random person feels about a racquet means nothing to me. I have been playing with it myself for 5 days now, so I know exactly how it feels.
You are entitled to your opinion, but like the other poster said, when you keep posting the same negative comments in several different threads, it makes you motives appear questionable.
I have no motives. But its ok for you to post positively in the same threads? I always join in conversations in multiple threads.
cause vs really like soft frames.
That s all
OK, lets move on. We get it. You think it's stiff.
