When I hear these commentators talking about Federer's record against guys from Serbia, I start wondering about the relevance of that piece of trivia.

It had me think about the Pink Floyd interview where Roger Waters says oysters transcend national barriers. I kinda feel the same way about tennis players, except for Casper Ruud :D

it's pathetic that no one can beat the guy I mean prime physical age is 28 and he's 10 years past that I mean he should be getting destroyed at this age
How about you just appreciate you are watching history, and credit to someone who plays so clean, trains so hard, that their body can hold up for this long. But also, when older you can be more tactical and wise. As you are seeing, the game is a lot more mental than you give credence. Shows how much you know about competing. Seems like you are that pimply kid at the club who crushes the ball but can't beat the 40 year old junkballer.

Nationality has nothing to do with the quality of players. That's why I'm always baffled when I hear such an uninteresting piece of trivia. Nadal and Djokovic could have been Swedish and Cambodgian and it wouldn't have mattered one bit.
Show me a top Cambodian player :sneaky:

Players from the same county usually play the same style of tennis due how their Tennis Association teaches them.
For example, to quote Gulbis about Spanish tennis:
"Unfortunately I started playing well at the end of the season," Gulbis told reporters. "I was playing like a Spanish player -- two metres behind the baseline doing nothing."
“Nothing worked today. I was just running like a Spanish clay-court player standing on the baseline and pushing the ball back. Women’s tennis.”

I wouldn't waste my time with him.

I agree with your premise, except I don't understand the part about having pimples. 40 year old junk baller? Try 60 year old.

Well, there wasn't a top Serbian player before Djokovic and that didn't matter.

I know most of you hate kyrgios but he does speak some truth sometimes and when he said that he had such a good record against the big 3 compared to everyone else it's because he doesn't lose the match before walking on the court these guys bow down before they even hit the first tennis ball

LOL! Tell me which truly meaningful win over big 3 Kyrgios has had besides the 2014 Wimbledon R16 against Nadal? Oh that Saint Nick truly is a badass. Beating Djokovic, Nadal and Federer in the odd masters events demonstrates Kyrgios's superiority over all the other big 3 worshipping mugs. Please!

If this post is aimed at Krajinovic, it is totally unfair. Krajinovic put in a great effort, but he isn't blessed with Kyrgios's amazing serve. Federer got comfortable returning his serve and then made every service game difficult.

Yeah, Krajinovic played really well by his standards, and I suspect he would've beaten Federer if they had played a couple days ago.
