When was the last time Djokovic won the first set in a bo3 match and lost? Must be ages ago.

Forgot about 2017? Fought to death against Dasco and Murray and then burnt out for AO.
But his final against Murray was such a high quality match that a lot of people put him down for #7. I think he is now at the stage of his career that he has become unpredictable, we just don't know what his form will be like day to day. Still, I would think he is the overwhelming favourite for the AO

He still is. But physicality is more of a factor now and he can't afford tough matches in a row. Look at how Khachanov, Basilashvili and Thiem broke down Rafa's body at the USO before Delpo took him out. Same thing with Novak in Bercy he was gassed out after the Fed semi.

Yeah good point actually forgot about that

It happened back in 2016 in Rome also, Novak took out Rafa and Nishi then basically got routined by Murray in the final.
IIRC had a tough week altogether, got bagelled by Bellucci, and that match with Nadal was basically a 3-setter.

Fed is AO Goat, he is coming into this year AO with 2 titles in a raw, and now his game is equipped with the neo-backhand, so he should deal with Djokovic rather easily.

Ah, it was sarcasm!

These pros are dangerous. RBA is very dangerous. Always has been.do not listen to those that say otherwise. The weak era goof balls usually have never even stepped on court with a challenger level pro!

Joco really needs Becker back in his camp Becker was the king at good Court positioning
You might have a point. He seems to need an agressive minded coach along with Vadja. Edberg but i do not think he would fit in with the ND crew.
