Hey I've only really said it about Naomi and Bianca. I liked Halep and Mugu but never projected them to be like BIG champions. What I'm seeing now is different. Too early for me to offer a trajectory for Anisimova. The other player I was confident about many years ago was Bencic but that hasn't exactly panned out.

Bencic is still young and was sidelined by injuries for a long time. Her mentality is really worrisome for the time being, but if she has resolve and invests in her weaknesses (meaning, everything Ostapenko hasn't done since her maiden major), there's no reason why she can't turn things around. She has all the tools to go far, game-wise. Or all of what I've just written is just hopeful thinking from a big fan. But don't give up on her. It may pay off.

Very interested in seeing Andreescu playing in clay and grass now, because we clearly don't need more evidence about her hardcourt prowess.

Andreescu played one match in four months, came into the Rogers Cup and won it, now won the US Open.

After she fought through Indian Wells wrapped up like a mummy, I was begging her to take some time off, but then she disappeared for way longer than I could've imagined.
