dropshot winner said, "I'm not a fan of Murray, but I can't stand they way some Nadal fans disrespect him."

Good to know Nadal is fully fit now. It's a shame Murray and he can't play in the semi-finals. Usually Nadal tends to get *injured* while los.... oops, I mean playing Murray.

All players are disrespected at times, Nadal probably more than most. I am not
saying it's OK to disrespect anyone who has worked hard to be where they are, but in this case wasn't the disrespect started by the person who made the above quote?, in what is, a Nadal News thread. He/she just couldn't miss an opportunity to disrespect Nadal.

^^ I didn't start it. Murray was called a pusher in a Nadal thread, which was uncalled for, because he clearly isn't a pusher. Therefore, I posted in this thread.

Edit: here you go:

Nope.

Grinder = reaching and putting into play balls that are being left and are unreachable for most other guys. Ex: Nadal, Ferrer.

Pusher = hitting dead balls from the middle of the baseline.
Ex: Murray, Simon.

Who cares if some people disrespect Nadal, Murray or any other player for that matter? Some people will do that regardless. Bottom line, Nadal and Murray needs to figure how to get back in the winning circle especially in the GS. At their age, they are in their primes. Instead, it's an aging married father of twins that's doing more damage in the grand stages.

If you think my opinion is far from being truth that you are kind of fooling yourself, mate.

I didn't once say that pushing is bad. If it what makes him win some of his matches, than good for him.

He's a very successful player, he doesn't need fans to protect his "legacy" on the internet.

Let's hope Murray can push himself to win the USO this year. Would be hilarious if Cilic won a slam before Murray.

Pusher = Grinder. They are the same. They both wait for the other player to make a mistake to win a majority of their points. Boring tennis.

Nadal has beaten Fed SIX times at the slams. That is why he is the most bashed player.

If Nadal doesn't win this tournament, it will be because he is injured, or not 100% form.

Nope. Because HC is his worst surface. His second best surface is grass hence the 3 Wimbledon finals vs just 1 final at a HC slam vs 4 finals at RG. His best surface has always and will always be clay. Unfortunately for Nadal the ATP tour is mostly HC and that is why he can go for many months without winning a title. He is the only top 10 player whose best surface is clay. So he is handicapped by this. All the other top 10 players best surface is HC.

The whoa is me victim game does not work with Nadal. He thrives on intimidation. I used to "feel" for him. Really was a fan but after 2009 Australian I have a feeling things are not as they seem with him and his camp. Watched him run like a gazzelle never getting tired but with his losses he is always fatigued or injured....

The reason why he is so called "bashed" is due to:
1) constant excuses when he loses by his camp and his "fans".
2) Missed freaking WIMBLEDON after playing EXOS!
3) Was "tired out" when he lost at Madrid 2009 yet played like a mad man all through French 2008-Wimby 2008. Never tired then. Also was nevert tired out winning all those years during the Clay-Wimby season.
4) Ran around never tired during the 2009 Australian open run.
5) Has massive amounts of time "off" during the hard court seasons due to "injuries".
6) Always is back to raring and ready to go after so called "massive career threatening injuries".
7) Never loses only is "injured".
8) He is/was 100% then loses and is/was not 100%.
9) He might be on Dr. Fuentes list.
10) His "Fans" live in a weird fantasy Island world. You argue facts they Ad Hominen attack.
11) I could go on. Dont disrespect the game. He is playing hard. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. :)

Sir Zagor ... was Emerson a better player than Laver?! :)

Here I'll try simple math to see if you can get it:

16>6 & 5>1

Now if Rafito is a better player as you claim he should have no trouble exceeding or atleast matching those numbers, when he does be sure to notify me,thanks.

Ed ... speaking of ass-kissing, I have to say that if the male Federer lovers on this forum had a habit of wearing lipstick, Federer's a*rse would be plum-red! LOL!

I think Drak has always been very clever in pointing out what an utter sham the whole on/off Nadal injury soap opera has been. I challenge you to refute anything he's posted. Of course, you're just upset that he isn't posting "juvenile nonsense" that kisses your idol's ass. Like this:

But wait werent the Nadal fans saying he was going to win 10 or more slams? He was going to dominate on all surfaces? The season is too long for him? But now he is not good on hardcourts?
What the hell is it! Man the mind games are massive with Nadal. No wonder the chicks dig him. They love drama and mind games. LOL! And they slammed Drak 4 being immature.

Ellison, who calls himself a Rafael Nadal "fan boy," spoke of the dramatic 2009 Australian Open five-set semifinal between Nadal and Fernando Verdasco and of the emotions two days later in the final when Nadal beat Federer, who cried when it was over. Nadal's graciousness, Ellison said, was a lesson for everyone.

"Rafa was so upset Roger had lost," Ellison said. "Rafa was really upset, he was almost in tears. As fierce as he is on the court, and no one fights harder than Rafa, he is even a nicer person. Rafa is the kid you want to adopt. Roger seems like a man. Rafa is a big kid."

I hope for once thats not the case. Its true what you pointed out. All im saying is there are other things to talk about besides that.

really? then why don't you point that out to the posters I responded to, who is the one that brought it up?

I have this feeling he is going to win the French and Wimbledon this year again. He might just get 2 the US Open final 2.

I have a feeling that as soon as he suffers his first defeat, he'll be "injured, fatigued, out of shape, etc".

Unfortunately I also gotta agree with this. In the Aussie he said he was 100% but as soon as he was losing to Murray his knees magically started acting up. Idk if its coincidence but it is suspicious.

How is Federer's "lung infection" going? Watch for it to get worse as the odds of facing Nadal increase.

Fed has never ducked Nadal. He has always been there. Win, lose, draw or choke.
Nadal is the prima donna skipping WIMBLEDON, playing soccer and making out in Videos when he supposed to be "injured". LOL!

In his defense making out doesn't have anything to do with his injury...unless he used his knees for pity sex then the man is a genius

What! You mean *you've* never made out while injured?

Sir Zagor ... was Emerson a better player than Laver?! :)

Not nearly as easily compared as those times were torn with amateur and pro competition, there are just too many factors involved to make the comparison so simple.

But Fed and Nadal have played under absolute same conditions(surfaces, opponents etc.)so the comparison is much, much more simpler.

So far since Nadal won his first slam in 2005 he has been 2nd to Fed each year but one(2008 )so if he is clearly a better player then he should have no difficulty piling up the numbers Fed did in the next few years, heck if he's better he should achieve more but I'll go easy on him and say he's better if he equals Fed's achievements or even if he comes somewhat near.

What that means is:

-Nadal needs to finish 4 more years as #1

-Have a year in which he wins 3 slams(Fed had 3 of those)

-Win USO to complete his career slam like Fed did(and I don't care who he beats in the final to win it,he can beat Spadea for all I care)

-Win 8-10 more slams, that's considering that Fed won't add to his tally in the meantime of course.

Better player should have no trouble equaling or exceeding the feats lesser player accomplished given the fact that as I said they play under same conditions and against the same opposition(something which was not the case in Laver vs Emerson for example),heck he should have no trouble atleast coming close.
