Mine got moved up also. Colors are different than expected. A red head by the grip on one side teal on the other https://davidkirk.smugmug.com/My-First-Gallery/ The sticker on the bag calls it out as GVT S Teasing Pack. Came with green Lynx 17 a white overgrip and a Head damper. mic's out at constant 24 mm and 10.1 oz. I'll check balance after I string it. No printing on the frame I'll string it at 52 lb and start from there

I put it on the stringer too fast I forgot to weigh it! Good thing I didn’t string it yet. I’ll take it off in the morning and weigh it.

Anxiously waiting to hear from those who will string at or around the 41 lbs mark..
My new standard...after natural tension drop to around 39....

Some quick specs on the Pro I got-

Unstrung weight- 11.01oz/312g, 8pts HL
Strung weight- 11.57oz/328g, 5pts HL
Strung with OG- 11.75oz/333g, 6pts HL

The Overgrip that came with it from Head feels almost exactly like a Wilson Pro. Maybe a little thicker like a supergrap from YY.

I'm also on the Pro playtest, I'll edit this post to confirm what my specs are weight wise and balance.

Edit:
Unstrung Weight: 310 grams
Strung Weight: 335 grams w/ OG and Dampener.

OK the "S" strung up with Lynx with damper and a heavy Yonex OG weighs in right at 11 oz. 5 pt HL. I know it seems heavy but the OGs weigh about .3 oz
I hit with it for about an 1 1/2hr and am very pleased. The first thing is the harsh, hollow graphene feeling is gone. It's like one of their old engineers said, we used to make racquets were it actually felt good to hit the ball, let's try that. It definitely plays better from mid bed up. Lots of spin when you want it but you can flatten it out as well, your choice. A lot of good hitting area but perhaps not an intense sweet spot, it's still early maybe I haven't found it. Good power but not as much as my Graphene 360 S but that's weighted up and strung with NG/poly hybrid and plays a lot stiffer, harsher My friend plays with Blade 104 cv matching them up the Head is slightly wider from 3-8 crosses up top and narrower on the bottom. Wens. will hit some doubles matches see how it goes.

Thanks for the insights. Not unexpected. I would think this is what it is supposed to be. A young junior making the move to a 27 inch frame, a platform frame.. or an aging player with shorter strokes. Not gonna feel like the RF 97 ... :). I will test it with just the overgrip and dampener as stated. After that.. here comes the lead tape..:)

I'm thinking something in the tip, get swingweight 320 ish TW lists a twistweight of 15.5 which seems kinda high. Yeah my athleticism peaked a while back and I see equipment differently now. It is a step in the right direction by Head

Has a higher twist-weight than the MP? Which is 15? It is possible. Did it feel that high when you played with it?? The Sweetpot is higher as the Head engineers stated also... Can't wait to get mine in.. :) What did you string the Head Hawk at?? lbs? Thanks again...

It was very stable I had no problems with it twisting. It is more maneuverable than than my Radical OS the only thing I have rated that high on twist. Mine is a prototype paintjob and came with Lynx 17 that I strung at 50lb and gave it a long time to stop stretching before clamping. It played well at that.

MP arrived
unstrung
*295g
*325 balance (balanced on a ruler and eyeballed with tape measure

strung (wilson stamina 17g @52#)/power pads/over grip/dampener
*317g
*330 balance (same eyeball method)

test drove this morning
I enjoyed the crispness of SG in this frame and found lots of free power and spin. Feedback was good and touch/drop shots also very good. The sound of the racquet on impact sounds great. fast swinging racquet.

Will add leather grip first and then maybe lead with the SG before going to Poly or a hybrid.

*sigh*

Sometimes being on the east coast sucks...mine is not scheduled to arrive until Thursday.

My first play test, MP coming tomorrow UPS says. Stoked! Thanks so much for the opportunity, @TW Staff! I may put my old standard Cyclone in it because the stick is so soft, although I’ve been playing Black Core 4S in my Vcore 98 and loving it. I feel like the Hawk touch it’s coming with might be too soft for the frame.

Are you sure the specs aren’t listed on the outside of the frame at either 3 o’clock or 9 o’clock? A pro friend of mine was playing with the MP this past Sunday and I picked it up and saw them printed there very small. I thought it was literally the worst place I’ve ever seen specs placed. They’ll get scrapes off over time.

I’m in Ohio and not due to get mine until Thursday. I’ve got USTA districts the next morning so I won’t be messing with it until Sunday at the earliest.

This is what Head do, they are so hard to find! FYI tiny writing outside of the frame.

Positive as in the photos, mine is the prototype paint job not the finished commercial version. the only thing printed on it is" massive sweetspot dominates the game" inside the top of the hoop. Well that Head, S and made in china

Would normally go for the Pro but managed to score a demo of the MP from my local club.
Launch angle was too high compared to what I'm used to (18x20 H22) but overall it had a really good feel. Very stable, good power level, and plenty maneuverable.
Maybe it's the shape, but it felt smaller than most 100sqin frames to swing.
Also, paint actually seemed to be decent quality, unlike some brands where the paint flakes off if you look at them the wrong way.

I'd be really interested in trying the Tour version out as a replacement for my H22s. Seems like the Pro with the thinner beam won't bring enough power. In my quick test the MP seemed to bring a similar power level to the H22 while still being comfortable.

Mine arrives tomorrow so I guess I’ll see then.

Got my MP yesterday - turns out I got the non-retail, special edition Instagram Paintjob! :-D It's all black with "Massive Sweet spot Dominates the Game" on the inside of the hoop. Strung it up with Hawk Touch at 48. I ain't mad about it. More thoughts to come later.

Ah! If you're using the VCORE 98 in currently and you think it's a tad stiff, you're in for a treat with the new MP! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it. I'm a longtime Yonex user -but my very first 'good' racquet was a Ti.S5.

Got my S today. A few things I noticed:

The hoop shape is fairly oval but does widen some at 10 and 2. Similar to a Blade.
The beam shape is close to "D beam" similar to an Angell.
The handle shape is identical to the Speed pallet from what I can tell, but it is a little shorter.
There is a lot of parallel drilling. 14 side holes and 10 up top. The top grommet also has a special piece for the ten center holes much like the current Blades.

The handle was 4 3/8, which was a happy surprise as I thought the S was going to be only 4 1/4 :)
The frame was underweight at 279 grams and 8 pts HL.

Think I will do the full poly it came with @ 46 and use some tape to at least get it to spec weight.
