Toni Nadal : Wimbledon is like a small event. They help some players

Wimbledon Authorities didnt hide their bias at all , judging by the way they treated Novak djokovic .
Uncle Toni stated the obvious ;)
Dont know why fans of other Champions getting bitter?,
this had nothing to do wid Fed or Andy, its only about the biasedness of Wimbledon Organisers .
Hoping to see a Great Final on Sunday !

Federer and Murray should have at least played once on another court besides CC.

that would have been more equitable.

delaying Djokovic's match till the next day was derelict! they should have let him play on CC once it became clear that the Nadal-Muller thriller was going to be a long time.

Do not even try to conflate the two topics.

I asked you a question.

Why is there no answer?

What would have happened to Nadal's matches on CC (or court 1 for that matter), if everybody was to receive equal treatment?

I don't see Toni Nadal requesting outside courts for Nadal, so that Mannarino could play on Centre or #1.

you're incredibly dense if you don't see how the 'two topics' are incessantly intertwined! its really the same topic!

and stop being willfully naïve and ignorant!

Mannarino is not on the same level as the Big 4 and you know it!

just admit your guy benefitted much, as he has an awful lot this year especially, from the tournament organizers decisions!

I know. But I think you knew what I meant...
Yeah I did. But you see, the spanish players and teams keeo a lot to themselves. A lot of it has to do many dont speak english. they dont mix in w the tennis establishment that much as the othes.
Rafa won RG 10 times, still has to play on other courts. Fed fans here are saying that Wimbledon has to put certain players on CC because it could be their last match. They make everything sound so dramatic.

please stop saying 'i like Nadal' in your various tirades against him and his real fanbase.

you claiming to 'like' Nadal is like someone claiming to like $1 bills when there are $20's available to swipe.

it just rings incredibly hollow...

I do like Nadal. I know that's hard for somebody like you to understand but what does my liking Nadal have to do with the truth, i.e. that Nadal has been booted out of Wimbledon for six years and Federer is going for his 8th Wimbledon title. Federer is the greater player at Wimbledon. Is that difficult for you to comprehend?

Thats a bit naive to say as no other slam operating like this.

Again, Wimbledon is the wealthiest/most money-making tournament in the tennis world. These decisions are purely about business and commerce and what's in the best interest of the tournament and the people who pay to see the players they want to see. Who cares what a bunch of posters on a tennis forum who don't understand the basic principles of commerce think?

You aren't going to change the status of Wimbledon with these silly comments.

If this is just about Nadal I would say "nonsense".

But I do think Djokovic was unfairly treated. Now, would an extra day have changed things?

Probably not, but still...

Nah, he's toast at the moment. Federer would have carved him up this year.

Of course they don't always schedule Rafa on Centre Court at Roland Garros; there is no Centre Court.

As for Wimbledon, they've scheduled Sampras on Court 2 when he was defending champion.

It's their tournament. They make no apologies for how they run it and are rather proud that they use it to promote and provide opportunities for British talent. So what?

What British talent ?

They really are not!

And you just admitted that it is not about all players being equally treated, but that the top 4 were put in one group and then give them privileges that are equal for all of them.

But why would the organizers do that?

For example Federer is levels above Nadal when it comes to their significance to the tournament.

Why would the organizers want to put them in the same group, if an equal treatment is not on the cards?

no one needs to comprehend it, its obvious.

what is also obvious is that when it comes to you and any comparison with Federer and Nadal; its clear that you do not 'like' Nadal; your overwhelming preference is Federer!

so please stop pretending you're neutral in these type discussions because you demonstrably are not.

thats your wayward and confused reasoning?!?

of course all the players aren't treated equally, duh! the top players have 'earned' their preferential treatment, this discussion is about the noticeable and disparate treatment among the top players (the Big 4).

oh and fyi, Federer is only levels above Nadal in fedephants' minds!

At "Wimbledon" Federer is the $20 and Nadal the $1. My gosh, get your head out of your arse. It doesn't mean I don't like Nadal.
you've lost it!

Tio Toni's statement is just for people like you.

i suggest you go over it again.

Its peculiar that certain group goes religiously after 2 other players. In every match thread, everywhere...insult the players and their fans. I dont get why? And why only the rivals that has beaten him in finals so many times? It just never ends. Federer is nice, but a big part of his fangroup is not. The nastyness is really disgusting and its so many of you. I know posters in here that has more than 50 fed fans on ignore. Thats another truth.
I called out once that I wish Federer could say something about the unfair treatment some gets in Wimbledon, and then I get called a hater and get insulted by probably 10 Fed fans. Its over the top.

Can you give me any numbers to show that Wimbledon is the most money making tournament. I thought USO just surpassed Wimbledon last year?
Which people pay for what? You mean the 500 tickets available to buy for CC before final? Do you think they do all this because of these 500 people?

oh, so Federer is Brit talent now

Ok, he really is all things to some people on this forum...

No idea how you extrapolated Federer from my post. I wasn't particularly referring to Centre Court scheduling, more the Wild Cards handed out by the AELTC.

But sure, let's all make every single thread on this forum about misunderstanding and rivalries. #tedious

Again.

Either you want equal treatment for all the players, in which case Toni's remarks make sense, or you acknowledge that different players bring different things to the tournament, in which case the tournament organizers treat each one individually as they see fit.

Cannot have both.

Nadal has not earned the privilege to be treated as a top player like Federer or Murray at Wimbledon at the moment, because he hasn't been a top player there for half a decade!

He still gets CC and court number 1 precisely because he has his illustrious past there, but to ask that he is put on CC as much as the 7 time champion and 10 times finalist there is grossly overestimating his impact at the moment.

Also, it is a hard fact that Federer is levels above Nadal when it comes to a significance at Wimbledon. That has nothing to do with preferences, but unless you provide some sensible argumentation, I am not going to debate that on good faith in your opinion. After the conversation with woodrow1029 happened I am not sure that I even believe in your sanity any more, so you will have to try to convince me.

Your generalizations is what is disgusting.

Distinguishing between reasons to criticize is a good start for someone like you, as you seem to put everything either in the positive or negative attitude categories.

I would not even begin dissecting your post as the insinuations in it are so many that it will take a considerable amount of time to point them one by one and what they mean for your position.

And I'd rather Federer keeps it level-headed in regard to the reality than spouting populist BS.

It is especially grating when a player with multiple privileges resort to such thing just to get even more of them, when he couldn't care less for the people that are really mostly without chances for equal treatment for whatever reason.

Nadal is basically irrelevant at Wimbledon for half a decade now and he still gets to play half of his matches on CC and the rest on 1.

Try to wrap your head around that fact.

Your egalitarian argument is fake and you know it!

either way; Uncle Toni's critique is tailor suited for your ilk since he specifically brought up RG and how Nadal is far more dominate there then Federer is at Wimbledon, yet Nadal does not always get center court!

so take your disingenuous line of reasoning and shove it.

Don't see the issue. Toni nadal is right and its embarrassing the fawning over Federer at Wimbledon. It should be an equal split on show courts for the top players.

However a fired up Nadal always does well on American hardcourt summer tour so there maybe some motivational talk in what Toni is saying

Nadal is considered by many to be the greatest player of all time and one of the most popular in the history of the game. Your argument fails as Federer has not done anything at wimbledon since 2012 compared to djokovic but djokovic was treated even worse than nadal

You are new here , so I will make it short.

1) Nadal is considered the GOAT from dimwits and ignorant people. Only from them.

2) Whether Nadal is considered a GOAT or not has no relevance to his position at Wimbledon.

3) Not winning the title doesn't equal "hasn't done anything", while having 8-5 W-L record in the last 5 years does equal "hasn't done absolutely anything"

You are free to go and talk to your alter egos now.

Why the pettiness from the Nadal camp? Gracious winners and SORE losers!

This sums it up precisely

Also disrespectful because you don't hear this kind of crap from their camp when Nadal loses to the other three big 4

Well on every other tennis forum most people seem to say Nadal is GOAT and your strange reply seems to suggest you know that's the case. On the atp website comments section that seems the case so I was only stating what I've seen.

Lots of trolling of Nadal which I suppose is proof he is back.

The problem with your claims about forums and comments sections is that they are full of the said dimwits, so one has to question everything he reads and you seem to be converted already.

There is a lot of new users and the overwhelming majority of them are ************* handles, who start flaming wars the moment they register, so not only you are wrong, but it seems that you deliberately choose to tell that BS.

Don't worry. Both of us know what is going on, so I am deeply amused by you and the rest "new" users that walk around pretending .

It is interesting. Have you nothing better to do?

You must realize that you are getting on ignore pretty quickly and the same happens with all the other accounts like this.

Isn't the point of a forum to exchange views? Calling people dimwits because they don't agree with you does not really follow the spirit of a forum.

I hope tomorrow goes your way. I want Federer to win as i prefer his style to Cilic. Not a given though as it is the two best grass courters and the correct final.

Enjoy the match.
