I remember three years ago Fed's running forehand seemed to have gone, especially cross court.

Look at him now.

Imagine Fognini with Federer's team and regime and recovery schedule.

I find it fascinating seeing Federer take these breaks and come back so fresh and playing so beautifully. It makes me think about the general wear and tear on players on tour, and the effect it has on their levels.

This is slowly becoming a shocker on BPs for Federer

Berdych 1/3 BPs all in one return game
Federer 1/7 BPs across 4 different return games

This match might be tiring out Federer. It's turning into a rally match. Federer's not getting his free points on serve, he might as well be playing Djokovic out there today.

Even though forehand court is open, Fed is constantly hitting at Berdych s backhand. Not sure this is a good strategy

Heavy rain here, disrupting the telecast. That will have to be a night for me. Match is not very appetising, sadly. Hope to see a W against Fed's name on the morrow but this could be a tricky one.

A good match always follows a bad one for Fed.. So, it is a good omen.

A break in the next couple of games is what Fed needs. Cannot see Birdman coming from 0-2 down

And to know that many of the dtl or crosscourt passes that Fed misses nowadays would've been mostly in during his prime.

Fed and Ashe are the best ever with 64.9% won each. Fed obviously a bigger sample size with 407–220 before today (or before Wimby?).
I found a 410-220 listing so you're accurate before Wimby started. Now at 411-220.

Isner must have soured badly from 2015 onwards.
