Federer's contract with Basel has just ended it isnt on his proposed schedule for next year
Don't worry, the challenger circuit will welcome him with open arms.
Maybe he means in the final? Anyway, I wouldn't read much into it. Just accept that one day Federer will retire and us fans will have to move on (or leave tennis behind to the dogs).
Boring end to a boring tournament.
Boring end to a boring tournament.
Not like the exciting grindfests between Nadal and Djokovic.
Now that's uncalled for.
Now that's uncalled for.
I need to know how he feels about the outcome of this match.
To be fair, Nadal turns every match into a grindfest, regardless of the opponent.
Except when he's playing Rosol ofcourse.
Fed might have got that one with a bigger racket!
Amen to that.
Amen to that.
Amen to that.
Amen to that.
Gratz Delpo, was the match any good?
Now that's uncalled for.
Good for Delpo. I was a bit disappointed to get back and see that Fed had lost, but it's alright.
Story of Nadal's life.
On a related note, Race is basically over. There are 2500 points left to win in the season and Novak is ahead by 2000. It's been a nice year in that each of the top 4 players got a few nice prizes. Novak gets the YE#1 ranking, but he was shut out at the Olympics.
Story of Nadal's life:
Most dominant player at a slam EVER (52 wins out of 53 matches at Roland Garros), and only dropped ONE set in his 7th Roland Garros title.
Only player to win Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open on clay, grass and hardcourt in the same year.
Owns Federer for life. Nadal leads Federer 8-2 at slams, and has won their last 5, including 2 at Australia.
Lost to Rosol at Wimbledon 2nd Round, but nowhere near as bad as losing in the 1st Round of Wimbledon THREE times (as Federer did).
Amen to that.
Story of Nadal's life:
Most dominant player at a slam EVER (52 wins out of 53 matches at Roland Garros), and only dropped ONE set in his 7th Roland Garros title (despite needing painkillers to take the court).
Only player to win Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open on clay, grass and hardcourt in the same year.

And of all the 4 slam winners, Djokovic came the closest to losing his slam title. Almost a slamless year for him, and a sign of things to come.
What 17-1?
10chars
what happened to roger anyway post wimby misfired at the Olympics, the US Open, Shanghai and now Basel
Their faces.... New death stare from Fed.
********* acting like a good guy "You had a couple of tough losses against me this year, so you deserve this one"...pathetic! You're not God, and you certainly don't hand wins to other players...just STFU and go put your wife on a Jenny Craig plan you PotatoHead....
Couple more inches and Juan could have retired The Fraud permanently, from tennis AND from "servicing" fat Mirka....shame, really.
Oh well, 2013 should be a good year, hopefully many more losses in store for The Fraud against Djoker, Nadal, and Moaning Murray! AHAHAHAHHA!!
Enjoy your Sunday folks, I certainly will!
Must hurt that even a 31 year old "fraud" has as many slam wins this year as your boy does in his career and possibly ever.
