Del Potro nearly beat Djokovic, and Murray is easily a better grass courter than him. I always sort of felt Murray was a better grass courter than Djokovic too, and his performances last year confirmed that for me

Are you one of those people who think Djokovic has "dodgy grass court skills"? Well, he is in his second Wimbledon final in 3 years, plus 2 SF

He must be a terrible grass courter.

I also think Murray will be a bit fresher for the final. His match today was really alot of short points with JJ either hitting quick winners or errors, and even alot of aces and service winners from Murray. Nothing like the physical Del Potro-Djokovic grind. The crowd will be brutal and do their part to help Murray win if need be too, including mocking and harassing Djokovic if needed. He is not a fan favorite in the least anywhere in the World really, so being in Murray's home country there wont be any torn allegiances unlike last years final.

Torn allegiances? You're delusional. The crowd was 100% behind Murray last year.

I think this is the only year where I'll be watching the womens final but not the mens. If I didn't like Lisicki I'd probably skip both matches. Meh...

I think Murray gets this in 4 or 5 sets.

He's made the W final before and made SF a few times. Time to finally make it count by going all the way.

And yes, I really do think Murray is a better grasscourt player than Djkokovic.

He also makes Djokovic look bad, the way Djoko himself makes Nadal look bad or Nadal makes Fed look bad. Meaning Murray has the ability to get Djoko's game to a pt where it's almost recognizable.

Murray also deserves this and the nation deserves a home champion. Also I hope Dunblane goes wild. Will be supporting Murray.

It's the dream final, the greatest British hope versus the outright best in the world. It doesn't get better than 1 v 2. This will be their fourth slam final meeting, with Djokovic leading 2 -1, and first on a non - hard court.

Win win for me really. I am huge Novak fan, so naturally I will cheer him, but I am British, well at least on my father's side, so I will be happy to say I was watching when GB got a Wimbledon champion, plus I like Murray. :)

I just hope we have an awesome match up, similar to AO 2012 or Shanghai 2012 in terms of pure quality.

I don't see why Murray would be fresher. He played 2nd today, until about 9pm and that's 2 matches in a row he hasn't won in straights. Whatever determines the final outcome, I doubt freshness will be a part of it. USO was completely different as Novak had to play several days in a row. This time, he has good recovery time (just like he did after the Wawa match at AO, he was fresh as a daisy for his next round if you remember ).

He must be a terrible grass courter.

This is the weakest grass court era in history bar none. Djokovic's success with his grass court game is only further proof of that. Of course the biggest beneficiary of all is Federer who managed 7 Wimbledons in this grass era, despite being nowhere near the abilities of a peak Sampras or peak Laver on the surface.

Let's hope that this will be a better match than their previous two major finals, which were poor spectacles.

I hope Murray wins.

If Djoker let the cheering for Dimtrov in Madrid bother him, he won't be a happy guy on Sunday.

Slight difference. He wasn't expecting the crazy cheering in Madrid, despite knowing he was Rafa's big rival. So it threw him off.

He will be fully expecting the crowd to be behind Murray, and Murray feeding off the crowd. He know's he going in there and will stand alone, so mentally he will be much better suited this time round.

Wow! Not sure if I should get involved here (ruffled a few feathers in the women's final thread). I would be happy if Andy won-if anything to get "the monkey off his back." Pretty sure Novak will win.....

Sorry Bob, just being honest. :)

Here is another confession, I cheered for Murray during his US Open final win last year, since I just wanted the guy to win a slam. But I was back to cheering Djokovic straight after that, and he won the next three matches.

I will cheer for Novak until the last ball is hit, I have no doubt in my mind about that. But, if he ends up losing, I will be happy for Andy for the reasons I have given. I like Andy, even if I like Novak better. :)

As much as ı want Murray to win.Novak has this. His movement and service return is out of this world.Murray best chance to win is hope that Novak feels a little bit affects of Delpo match.

I'll go for Murray.

With the crowd behind him and the experience of the final last year and Olympic gold, he'll get it done this year

I believe in Novak Djokovic, our savior of boredom and democracy.
LOL!

I think Murray will win the 3rd set - e.g. Novak will start working on his speech like he did when he was putting the boot to Nadal in the W final. Then he'll close the deal in the 4th.

The blow your brains out from boredom final is upon the tennis world. Get ready for a beating from Novak or a 7 hour pushfest complete with dinks, drops and grunts on 70mph second serves. Come one come all for a front row seat to the destruction of tennis as a watchable sport. See Miss Judy Murray at the ticket counter for your free bullhorn to blast during Djokovic unforced errors.

This is awesome! And don't forget your overpriced champagne and strawberries!

The final I was looking forward to. :) Ahh...so excited!

Happy with either winner, but will be behind Novak all the way.

This is a tough one. I think the crowd is going to be a factor- maybe they get in Djokovic's head a little? I'd like to see Murray win, but I don't see it. A close match, tho- don't think a blowout. ND in 5, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.

I really want the British to have one of their own win the title, I really do, but I'm behind Djokovic here. It'll be huge for his legacy if he can add another Wimbledon title.

Can Murray beat Novak with just consistency? I'm not sure he can. Novak has a better FH and their BH are pretty much equal. I just don't know what playing patterns will really benefit Murray.

Murray vs Djokovic comparison:

Serve: Djokovic better, especially second serve
Forehand: Djokovic better
Backhand: about the same, even though Djokovic has an edge
Nerve, Clutch : in a neutral surface, Djokovic is clearly better in the mental department. But let's call it equal in Murray's home turf.
Movement: about equal
Fitness: even with the prolonged semi, I think Djokovic has an edge here.

Summary: If Djokovic can keep his nerve he will win.

Prediction: Forehand exchange and exploitation of Murray's second serve would be the key to Djokovic's victory .

I can just see Murray mumbling to himself in disgust and walking in baby steps with his hand over his face now. Sigh.

Yeah me too. Andy has the game to beat Cvac Sunday, but I think his head will let him down yet again. I'll still be rooting for him even though I know it's futile since Cvac has already won the title.

Circular logic: weak grass court player winning proves the weak grass era which proves the winners are weak. Fact: a young Federer did beat an old Sampras at Wimbledon.

AMurray will win it.
It's hard to see him losing in the finals in Wimbledon. The crowd will definitely play a huge role. Unfortunately, NDjokovic will have a hard time out there with hardly any crowd support.
Even in the last year's final, very few cheered for a guy like RFederer, so no doubt he'll have very very less crowd support. And we all know he fares in those conditions (ala Madrid 2nd round 2013)
