I wouldn't peg Thiem as being the guy who wins a bunch of slams, yet. I think there is a good chance that it might be an unassuming, quiet, nextgen player who ends up doing that. By playing straightforward, big target, high-consistency tennis. Not one of these streaky, low-percentage, players.
Seeing Medvedev play makes me think it will be someone like him. The guy isn't full of flash. Basically, a Berdych-style player... or a Murray-like player with a bit more pop in his game. But at his age, he's already giving fits to the nextgen players who are 2/3/4 years older than him. I think a nextgen player who is merely solid off both sides, stays patient, and has a semi-decent serve... can wipe this entire field.
