For the record, I'm not angry. Just made an observation about Raonic's speech. I responded to a post calling Federer classless, and it was resolved. We don't need a crazy Djokovic fan trying to stir things up.

Djokovic was not even mentioned here until a ******* brought him and his fans up. Who is trying to stir things up here then? Another hypocrite detected.
Not as worried as Djokovic will be next time he faces RAFA :D
Djokovic is at his peak, but RAFA can learn and improve even more in time for the Slams.
After all - RAFA has won 4 of his last 5 Slam meetings with Djokovic
Do not forget RAFA only showed how classy he is by letting Djokovic win the last meeting. And still he was not good enough to finish the job.
This season, RAFA will not be so generous.

Stop trying to stir things up. You are a Djokovicnut, and a BIG hypocrite on this forum. You don't see me going on the Djokovic/Nadal thread to pick apart your silly comments. Learn to be less hypocritical. You're trying to stir things up talking about taking the trophy away.

I'm done with this crap. I stay away from you guys, but I guess that's not good enough for you. You think you own the forum and can spew your crap everywhere.
And then you start acting like you're the good guy. You are full of crap!

Well, Raonic played good. Maybe the MUGS are finally ready to take over.

I agree. RAFA clearly values the Slam H2H, just like I do (9-4), so he will make sure to protect it.
And RAFA was down 4-0 in the first set last year, but came back to 4-4 - oh, so close!
RAFA also had his best indoor season ever, he was even level with Federer at 3-3 in the final set in Basel.

Some big reference when a Novak hater and Fed obsessed imbecile calls me a big hypocrite. Yet to turn into cocky mode once and you complaining how I am behaving like I own the forum? What a sensitive crybaby. :D

@Doctor/Lawyer Who is your second pick for AO, just in case of a miracle that the Superman slips up?
Murray IMO. I will be able to tell better after the draw though. Welcome to TTW @shankster. :)

You're an imbecile. And a crybaby and a hypocrite. I'm not Fed obsessed, that would be you. Did you see me in the Djokovic thread? But, you Djokonuts are obsessed with Federer. You stay up late and wake up early to watch his every match.

Anyway, it is really foolish to waste anymore time on you guys. I shall continue to ignore just like I have been doing. Feel free to have the last the word!

Lying as usual. I did not even respond to you but you decided to attack me just because I support a player you do not like. So you did not even start to ignore, yet alone "continue to ignore". :D Your history of negative comments speaks for itself while I never said a bad thing about Federer. ******** hypocrite. :D

Maybe Novak won Doha, but RAFA also got a perfect preparation by reaching the final and giving Novak fake confidence by tanking.
At AO, Djokovic will be stunned while at FO, RAFA will peak again and knock him out forever.

Thanks. Not too sure about Murray. He, in one of his best years, got hammered by Rafa on his worst surface in his worst year not too long ago and just lost to Kyrgios. Also he just seems to be unable to beat this ageing Federer nowadays when in fact, he won a lot more against him during Fed's prime (albeit not at the bigger events). His recent record against Wawrinka doesn't inspire a lot of confidence either and he is far from certain to beat the likes of Raonic (H2H is 3-3 I believe). His best chance will probably come on his beloved grass in front of his beloved home crowd. At the Australian Open, especially with probable paternity leave to worry about, I just don't see it happening. I still think Rafa is probably the slight 2nd favourite amongst the others but also the one least likely to beat Novak. It'd need a Kyrgios/Isner type ridiculous serving to deny Nole and even that might not be enough. Unless Stan unleashes Stanimal mode again. Don't think Rafa, Roger or Murray have any chance against him.

I don't usually make predictions, but RAFA will burn Djokovic once his DTL FH returns.
Anyone can see that.
RAFA might need another year to catch Federer's Slams after he wins his Double CGS this year

How did I know you would enjoy that? Where have you been? Enjoying the off-season?

Yes.

Of course I enjoyed it. If you're a Federer fan (or a fan of any other dominant player), you obviously want him to win forever. But for the few of us who don't have a favorite, it's nice to see small changes here and there. Relax though, Federer is still #3 in his mid-thirties, nothing to be upset about.

Yes it is amazing how it looks like Rafa has the smallest chance of beating Djokovic, but would (maybe) be a favorite if Novak is out of the way.
Murray however has been in 4 finals already, and similar to Djokovic at FO, he is the favorite once the tournament GOAT (Djokovic at AO, Rafa at FO) is out of the way or not playing near his best. Also his only Slam win over Federer was in Australia so it is not mission impossible. Roger is not going to improve at this (st)age either.
Lets see who will get Stan and who will get Roger in the semis.

Sure. Not upset though. I was disappointed at first of course. Yeah, he's doing great for 34. But, as a fan I want to see him win some more as he winds down his career (yeah, I know he's won a lot already), but you know how these things are. Small changes are good definitely.

raonic looked good this week...
there are some interesting non-top10 players who appear to be in decent form for the AO !
(raonic, tomic, kyrgios, coric, dimitrov, dolgopolov...)

PS: and also... 6th consecutive year winning a title for milos.

As long as this is the young guns growing some balls finally (this is one of their best wins yet), I'm fine with it.

If it's just a blip, I will be annoyed.

Hopefully Milos can make something out of this now. Nice way to start the season for both. Raonic with the title, and a nice warm up for Federer.

I didn't get to see this match. Hopefully there is a full match upload on youtube. Looks a great win for Raonic, in straight no less - good inside job from Lube (this works on so many levels I might actually go bake myself a cookie).

At least Fed looks like he's still having fun. Look at his reaction on an easy missed passing shot at 6:28.

Lots of very nicely struck forehands there from Raonic, but the backhand still looks like a liability. I guess he's never going to be the best pure baseliner anyway, and this is a very encouraging tournament win for him. His game looks quite mature, albeit that I'm only going by the highlights. Federer looks average and the energy level of the match seems way more low-key than the Rafa-Nole Doha final.

Can someone explain what happened? I saw up until MTO. Did Fed play badly after that?
What happened at ceremony? Do I need to happy for Raonic or be sad because he beat the wrong guy? :(

Look at Raonic's reaction to winning - the dude means business!

if he plays a bit better cuz it is always possible, we could see my "brother" reach F in AO with my other "Bro" Djokovic.
I wonder if Raonic might have a Slam SF in him as soon as the AO? He reached the QF last year, and has reached the SF in a Slam before (Wimb. 2014).

sorry to tell you this mate, but Kokkinakkis banged your girl! well this is very similar except... Djoko or wawrinka is Kokkinakkis and Fed is "girl"

Okay.... 17> 10>2. Fedal banged more trophies....not they are letting the lesser ones to enjoy the pleasantries.

Djokovic Wawrinka Final would be perfect....content with Federer reaching 12 AO SF.

Probably Federer's 'best' loss in a while. It's OK. Remember in 2014 when he lost to Hewitt in the final and then had a great AO and a very good year. He'll be fine. He just needs to recover and go deep in Australia. Good for Raonic, but I would honestly rather Nishi or Dimitrov step up.

I'll save you the time and bandwidth. Fed served 46% in the 1st. Beat up the net with his BH. Lost 64. 2nd set. Roanic tried to take it to 3 by double faulting 3 times in one game early in the set. Fed refused the gift, missing more makable shots. A few games later he gets broken; Raonic serves it out. 64.

I'm happy for Canada (Pens beat the Habs in Montreal; Toronto got a 7-0 whoopin' in hockey hotbed San Jose, CA) - but don't go all Brit on us and declare this is some massive achievement (like the Murray fans used to early in his career when he'd win a tournament and they'd anoint him favorite at the next major). Fed was way off his game today. Raonic's volleying is improving; BH still has a long way to go; Fed made it easy for him; his chip was floating and thus easy to run around.

yeah it was nothing impressive honestly. Fed was horrible, Raonic looked like same old Raonic. Fed's passing shots were absolute garbage and have been for a while now. I'm going to go ahead and assume it was just a small blip in the radar for him but his serve has been kinda meh for me since the USO which if true would mean the end. But he did have some good serving performances against rafa in basel and novak in the RR but to have any hope of winning anything he has to be a lot more consistent with it.

I agree in essence, and so I wonder why more players don't try to exploit that by venturing to the net.
