Milos wins 6/4 6/4! First title in Brisbane. Yeah, Fed was off today, but Milos put in a good performance with no real big lapses. Good on him. Lets out a big roar.

Game. Set. Match. Raonic was just too good. Absolutely crushing the ball. Painting the lines. Congrats to him. As for Federer, let's hope he has a full recovery before Aussie open.

Well done to Raonic. He played a good match. Shame the match didn't live up to the heights of their final last year.

Important win for Raonic, he really needed that. The key is transferring the confidence he gets from this win into mounting a challenge at the AO and against the current World Number 1.

Federer didn't make any pass today, did he? He's really off. Congrats to Milos. Big win for him to start the year. Federer certainly below par today. Nothing worked. Shanking, no first serves, nothing was clicking.

So, how will Federer and Ljubicic respond? We shall see.

I'm not worried about Federer - he showed enough to make me believe that he'll have a solid Australian Open, maybe better than last year. After all, he lost in the Brisbane final in 2014 and still made the AO semis.

Simple match to analyse - Federer with poor first serving and some ordinary ground strokes vs Raonic, who served big and seemed to have the better measure of the court. Commentators did mention that Federer was struggling to get to his backhand (possible injury?) and he was coughing and spluttering a bit...week's rest will hopefully have him ready for the AO.

Roger looks OK. Nice to see. People's champion. Never mind. Get some rest and figure things out.

Hopefully, you don't draw Raonic in Melbourne.

Raonic played well, only one blip on his serve and a couple of decent return games was enough. Fed's performance was telling of his week actually, first decent opponent (other than Grigor) exposed the out of sorts mood he was in.

Feel the same, more or less. Wouldn't take much from this week even if he won today.

It's just occurred to me that tennis players could use winning tournaments as a platform for actually talking about something they were passionate about, if they wanted to, rather than just thanking everyone. Did Raonic just say he hopes the world becomes a safer place?

Poor Raonic. Wins the tournament. Laver congratulates Federer.

Edit: Now that one of the organisers told him about Raonic....:D
