Thiem is saying he feels safer when he's hitting at full power in post-match analysis on Sky. When he doesn't, he feels it might not be enough or sth to that effect. There you go, the nonmistery of Thiem's love for ball bashing.

(Seriously digging Annabel's trousers!)

This interview on SkySports with Thiem is the most awkward thing ever, why are the talking about football... Leif (I think that's his name) is terrible at these interviews, was awkward with Fed yesterday too, Mark Petchey is way better.

Yes, that's the tournament that I'm talking about.

I didn't know that you were from Brasil, I mean, I thought that because of your name but then I thought that maybe for some reason you were a fan of the player luiz gustavo :eek:

And well, your country has also some great history in this sport thanks to Guga!

Yeah, I'm from Brasil and that is my name too. I've registered on this forum a few year before I really started to post here so I might be one of the few users with a real name as my username lol, guess I didn't know back then it's not a normal thing lol

Leif Shiras. He's always something something outlandish. I remember when he called Chardy a chump in Miami one year, and expected Raonic to roll. Milos edged the match out in a 3rd set TB.

As a non-South American, just wanted to say how much I love both these countries. Was in Rio for the FIFA WC a few years back and that was incredible experience. Also visited Argentina prior to that for the Gillette tennis exhibition & the people were/are amazing

obrigado a todos os meus amigos.

Nice Krish! What cities did you get to visit and what matches did you watch? I was at the Gilette tennis exihbition in São Paulo as well but I only went to a single match for the World Cup. I regreted it so much that I made sure to go to the Olympics for every single day of competition: it was the most tired I got in my entire life but it was so worth it.

Has to be said he proved his worth today with a pretty sublime match. Thiem has emptied the gas tank on this one and will need the day off.:p

With some work in the psychological side he might be even better. Had he played one or two matches like this after the US Open and he would have Sock's place right now.

For the World Cup, I was based in Rio for most of the time but also followed my team to Belo Horizonte (name is very fitting) and Manaus - definitely a very new and interesting experience for me to go around these places for sure! I thought we were passionate about our football but Brasil takes it to a whole new level haha
We saw England vs Uruguay, Chile and Costa Rica (unfortunately it was a very bad tournament and we were bottom of the group) as well as Spain vs Chile and the big Colombia upset of Uruguay in the knockouts
Huge effort and very tiring to travel those distances but well worth it for the memories

As for the Gillette tour, I was in Buenos Aires for the Del Potro vs Federer matches - in the middle of a very raucous but fun crowd

Amazing! I've never been to Manaus haha
The World Cup was amazing despite many problems around. Hopefully Russia will be just as good!

You got to see some good matches! Colombia x Uruguay was awesome and Spain x Chile was a good one too. I just saw South Korea x Belgium here in my city lol - just to say I went to a WC match haha

As for the Gillete tour, I had the chance to see all the matches here in São Paulo, and it was amazing to see Serena, Sharapova, Azarenka, Haas, Federer and Tsonga playing in the spam of only three days.

I had my last name as my username until I changed it like a month ago. Now I have the initials of my first and last name, and the year I was born :D

Poor @Poisoned Slice there in person.:D

He gave me the ultimate finish. Ace right at my direction. Quite erotic in some strange way. The relentless pursuit of unforced errors is exactly what I needed. My mate doesn't know much about tennis, even he was going on about Thiem's sluggish play. hahaha So funny.

Had a great time over there. Legs are dead. Have a couple of pictures I'll show later.

Thoughts on the live view? Was Thiem impressive to watch? PCB?

Thiem was floating on air mate. I honestly felt it was always on his racquet, even when the ue started to flow more. Feelings of butterflies when a real deep ball landed in. Thought it was fast. Both impressive to watch. Busta had the more impressive artistry or whatever, it's obviously different than watching it on TV. I can take my eyes away but not here. Full concentration and I could appreciate it more than I normally do. Yes, I'm now Busta number one fan. Thiem backhand motion is sexy. :p

Freshest moves I've ever seen.
