The take away from these first few days is that Zverev is looking strong and should at least make it to round 4, where Gael could be tricky. Also Federer showing no signs that the injury and time off has has an effect. Expect him to sail through to the quarter finals, where Murray will provide the first real test.

So far things are looking good. Certainly there are a lot of story lines going on at once. We've kinda got 3 generations of players all playing together at the same event, and all reasonably well matched. There are story of old timers putting it all on the line to prove they still have it, young guns trying to make their mark, and the middle group trying to recover some of that wasting potential.

Quarterfinals

Andy Murray v Roger Federer

Nick Kyrgios v Marin Cilic

Sascha Zverev v Milos Raonic

Dominic Thiem v Grigor Dimitrov
QF #2 got rekt in 2R. LOL, fantasyboy!

Crazy result. I was watching that match for the first 2 sets and Evans was playing well but i felt like Cilic would eventually crack him, seems not. What a massive win for Evans!
Not that crazy. Cilic lost 1st match in Chennai and was down 2 sets to love to Janowicz in his 1R.

I spent two weeks there, about 5 years ago. Worst days of my life.

Spend two weeks in Scotland, that will overwrite your worst experience.

I KID, I KID! Easy there Murrayfans. I actually loved my time in Scotland....

...since it was before Murray was around, so I didn't have to watch him or hear about him.

STILL KIDDING!

Wawrinka's draw has really opened up. R3 it's Troicki who has played two 5 setters already. R4 it's Darcis or Seppi who has come off a 5 setter vs Kyrgios. QF it's Tsonga/Sock/Tomic, all beatable. Similar thing happened at the US Open last year.

Only problem is Wawrinka shows up only when playing the top players. So he'll probably lose to every single player you just mentioned xD

Seppi and Evans upset a lot of apple carts there, especially Seppi who coped with a partisan crowd (Homeboy hero)
