Shapo reeled in a bit of the agression and proceeds to win 5 games to steal set3. Then went haywire to start set4.

Younguns.

Shapo is so close to breaking through. Once he figures out all the pieces, he's going to be formidable. The potential in unmistakeable. I hope he does justice to it.

Me too. Of all the young players I liked his style the most probably cause it resembled Federer the closest.

He has most natural pop off his ground strokes. Though it can be wild sometimes. If somehow he refines his technique then he'll have easy power like Berdych.

He’s not as big as Berdych to as much easy power. Shapo has to try and generate that much from his wild swings.

Did you see the other guy there firing lasers and keeping the ball in for a while? It’s not all just about Novak.

Now, Shapo is going to hit some errors in the 4th and Djokovic should win it 6-2 or 6-1 so don’t worry.

Too generous to Shapo here. 6-0. Think they could have played 10 games and Shapo wouldn’t win one in the fourth.

Yea just horrible play from that position. I have no idea what the hell happened to him there. Shapo really did not play well at all up to that point and he threw that service game away. Shapo has potential and still young, and needs more time to challenge these legends of the sport.
Djokovic is interesting for sure. He's got such an intense focus at times its scary. It serves him very well when his back is up against the wall or when he's an underdog, and cracks sometimes when in a commanding position. I've never seen someone as intensely focused in the moment like Djokovic. In this very match after grabbing the second set he was still perturbed about the lights LOL
I'm not sure if it's easy power, either. Both Khachanov and Zverev have smooth power.
Yeah. Cannot see him playing like this as he ages. It's a young man's style - crazy wild shotmaking. So many off balance shots. That one hander is often hit going backwards. Not at all efficient, its the opposite of easy like you say.

So he lets himself get bagelled after all that effort to win a set! Denis needs to work on his consistency and to understand that he has to bring it for 3 sets, not just 1!!

Besides Rafa and Roger who else is yet to drop a set in this tournament?

Congratulations to Shapovalov for winning a set - it's a small step but at least it's a step in the right direction!
