Wawrinka is 34...older than Federer was at Wimbledon 2015. Guess both of Djokovic's wins over Federer count as wins over the real, prime Federer. Djokovic is 2-1 against Federer at Wimbledon. He's the better grass court player.

Djokovic is not the better grasscourt player and I am a Djokovic fan. Djokovic is second best of this era which is not bad may I add but not the best.

That's a bold prediction you got going there. Will Stefanos also play doubles?

What do you mean the dolls joke draw begins continues to the final he might have to play The Mighty fed in the semi-final

It doesn’t matter how long their respective service games take, all it needs is just one break. The dominating one could easily get frustrated for not breaking and lose the set in the end

Serve & volleyerer finally makes an appearance, successful with the smallest of margins.

Tenor of the match feels a tad more even by now. Wawrinka bit more into his rhythm.

Fed holds to make it 5 all.
Stan missing 2 2nd serve returns in that game. If he starts getting those in, Fed would be under more pressure.

Looks like Federer will have to do this in a tiebreak because he is terrible on break points as usual today. Can Wawrinka keep winning tiebreaks or will Tiebreakerer shut that down?

seriously what is the rest of the tour think especially the younger generations when every grand slam they seem to see the same guys in the quarter-finals and semi-finals

Peak Fedovic will trade wins.
I will give Djokovic a slight edge.

But if you cannot see Novak played extremely well in 1st set and well enough in 3 and 4. You are blind.
2015 and 2016 were slightly worse than 2011 version of Novak. My opinion not a fact.

See Fred wasn't 2011 Nadal whose FH cross Djokovic could pounce on.Fraud used his BH slice and all court game to perfection. Some points here and there and Djokovic would have won.

No need to be this caught up.

I literally know Djokovic was playing good, even if he could have played better?

I literally never said different, all I'm saying is anyone just using RG 2011 as the singular determiner for Peak Fed > Peak Nole on RG or just for peak v peak debates in general is a screwball and shouldn't be taken seriously

I just tuned in.. how’s it looking for Fed so far? The socreline doesn’t say much.

Should I get worried?

Dude, you’re objectively wrong.

Stop hijacking the match thread

I can say the same thing about Nadal. And his joke continues until the final.
I agree with you if it's Fed in semi. Probably easiest draw yet for Nadal at RG. If it's Wawa, even washed out Wawa and a perfect matchup for Nadal, at least he'll have to work a bit in semi. I think shuch a complete lack of decent opposition until final is actually a disservice to Nadal (But it's RG we're talking about, so maybe it doesn't matter much anyway ;))

Another fkn missed opportunity at 15-30

It’s like he wants to lose this set. Fed has literally been in every service game of Stan’s and hasn’t broken once (0/4 and two 15-30 opportunities)

Wawrinka is hanging in there but his legs don't seem to be there. The telltale sign is all of the first serve faults. Hopefully they warm up so we can have a decent match.

You cannot say the mighty fed it's the favorite in this tournament you've got to put Djokovic and Nadal way ahead of fed at this point based on looks

Or how about watch those matches and compare it to their 2012 match.

OFF-TOPIC: "London Calling" was a pretty good song from The Clash, but do WE need a "London Calling" reference or sound byte about every big event about to take place in London?

Because on QF days, RG does 1 men's and 1 women's match on each of the big courts (Chatrier and Lenglen). The big shots chose to put the Nadal/Nishikori on Chatrier, so Federer-Wawrinka is on Lenglen while the Stephens-Konta match is on Chatrier.

Thanks.... friendo!

He took 6 games already in the first. This is as good as we could have hoped. If it goes 5 I don't see how his body can hold up
