Legend
Norrie has been playing solid tennis all year. It's good to see him on top. I hope he crosses the finish line.
Cam Norrie just one game away to do something that not even Sir Andy did. Go to a dentist.

We did, but a lot of us also saw him get demolished by Ruud two weeks ago.Its like noone watched the Dimitrov or Schwartzman matches. Norrie is in form and looking good. One point away!
Or maybe they watched the three previous rounds that were a struggle. Norrie is the Churchillian riddle/mystery/enigma player of 2021.Its like noone watched the Dimitrov or Schwartzman matches. Norrie is in form and looking good. One point away!

Great. I can’t watch it live but I’ll happily watch the replay tomorrow. This fan is more a fan of the sport than any one or two players.I don't want to spoil the fun. It might be an entertaining match but I'd just say it's not for the casual fans of tennis
Norrie dropped out of Antwerp (wise move) so Sinner can be basically tied with a title. From there, they are all doing the Vienna/Paris/Stockholm marathon, kinda like Around The Continent in 30 Days. Should be very suspenseful, kinda like spending a month touting the horses. This is basically how it's shaking out for the last two positions. Berrettini is only 75 points under the current threshold to qualify, so he's effectively punched the 6th ticket. Removed Nadal (#8) since he's out for the season.

IW and Miami have terrible trophies.Indian Wells has the worst goddamn trophy. It's awkwardly shaped and heavy as hell. You can see Norrie was nervous just holding it, and couldn't hoist it over his head in triumph.
Yes this tournament has been a joke but I'm still glad Norrie won.
In all likelihood this will be the biggest tournament he'll ever win. He's had a good season and he played really solid ball the last couple rounds. He deserves it.
Gotta get Pacific Life to sponsor it again so we can bring back the breaching whale trophyIW and Miami have terrible trophies.
March, no?Nice to see Norrie take a qualifier, when is the main draw?
The worst trophy at a M1K is the Tiriac-approved Madrid pre-colonoscopy probe.IW and Miami have terrible trophies.
I thought his parents stayed in NZ and gave in loco parentis responsibility to LTA?
They are both laboratory professionals of some sort and met through their work, then left U.K. for South Africa but their stay there was shortened when they were victimized in a home invasion. They landed on their feet with their employment at a NZ lab. Not an easy thing to do a third time within a decade or so if they had come back to their roots in Scotland or Wales or hunker down in neutral London. That's correct. I thought his parents had accompanied him but they are still living in New Zealand. My bad.
Didn’t help that two European players played at a time when most Europeans were fast asleep.final with 3 pages...
That summary is good for like 90% of Basilashvili matches vs high-ranked players.Good solid play is what it took today. B was just making too many UE.

I think it's a cool looking one but it's just awkward to hold.Indian Wells has the worst goddamn trophy. It's awkwardly shaped and heavy as hell. You can see Norrie was nervous just holding it, and couldn't hoist it over his head in triumph.
This is new normal.
Wut? There has been increased toxicity from the fanboy bases with their idols idle and their hands transforming from their usual chores of overadulation into hate for the guys that kept grinding into the second weekend. All the pathetic calls that the tennis wasn’t worth watching with Player A as a SFist or Player B undeserving of making a final because of his limited ball bashing skill set.Which is great, because there are no rabid fans fighting with each other and bringing guys who aren't even playing into the discussion.
Looks like Fawcett is now an investment banker. Could potentially make more money than Norrie, unless Norrie continues winning Masters 1000 tourney and starts getting large sponsorships.man, Fawcett should turn pro now. he almost beat Norrie who is BNP champion. and was aceing him like norrie was an amateur

He “shovels” his bh. I guess Connors was a shovelhead too. And Pancho Segura with his 2-hand righty FH, a virtual mirror image of the bh his protégé Jimbo made.Cam Norrie is a pusher!
Sorry, it's something you have to say at least once during your stay at TTW.
Am I allowed to imagine you saying that with a Scottish accent ?Norrie!!! So freaking happy.
